If their mouths are open, they are lying. It’s all they do. If you’re looking for honesty out of this regime, you’re not ever going to find it.

Good point to remember: "if their mouths are open, they are lying." I snorted.

I’d say they’re only lying when they’re awake, but honestly, I’m not sure they don’t lie in their dreams too.

They lie so much it is in their dreams. They internalize the lie until they believe.

Point to ponder. My guess is that they appear as heroes in their dreams, which is simply perpetuating the lies they tell while they are awake, so yes, they lie in their sleep too.

I would be just as outraged if it had been Biden's administration to do this, or anyone else's. It's not about sides, it's about competency.

Agreed. It's absolutely shocking. And to watch them try to gaslight us and put the blame on the reporter is, quite frankly, a new low.

The thing is; how many of his supporters will believe the spin?

His supporters still believe trump doesn't shit his pants. So there ya go!

All of them. The truth is what Trump says it is - not what they see, or hear, or experience themselves. They will pay $15 for 12 eggs and believe AT THE SAME TIME that Trump is lowering prices. It’s a special kind of mental gymnastics they’ve learned to do.

Absolutely true. And you can bet that if Biden did HALF of what the Trump admin has done in the past two weeks, there'd be hell to pay. This is exhausting and demoralizing. I guess it doesn't pay to be a decent person anymore ??

Except when we download their BS on a thumb drive and send it to a reliable journalist. Save for prosperity. For the trials to come. We demand nothing less than hanging. Just like they are trying to make us lose everything we worked so hard for, sacrificed for, threatening the lives of our children, trying to starve us out.

All is still fair in love and war so to speak. As a journalist, he does have a duty to report. And gee, if stuff can be "leaked" to the media, the details of all things discussed in the thread is fair game.

I respectfully disagree. I think of the Atlantic as an excellent publication. I think Jeffrey Goldberg has been compliant with his 'duty to report', while simultaneously having the wisdom to not leak anything about the situation.

Janice Darling's avatar

Goldberg’s done well. When they kept saying again and again in the hearing that there was “ nothing to see here” ( ie no classified info), he took the at their word and called their bluff. That takes courage as I am sure he and the Atlantic have now risen to the top of their s**t list. A lovely “gotcha” moment…

Not only that, they were trying to hide the chat by using Signal, which erases texts after a certain amount of time. People must be held accountable. This is dangerous for the American people and our service members. This administration is out of control. All of it.

I'm deeply concerned for the men, women and families of the military. Ultimately, they report to the president, and therefore take an oath not to speak ill of the president. I would never have the restraint they are expected to have.

A lot of them are pissed at what they see but from their training, they are able to restrain themselves. I don’t see it going much longer from what happened yesterday to family members get stripped of Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.
