Happy New Year to all. Gen Z is the great hope for the future! Thankyou for stepping up so capably. As an Aussie watching from the sidelines, and our own federal election looming, the way forward matters to us all. It will be a strong predictor for how Australia proceeds so I'm optimistic that the misstep in the Nov election will be addressed promptly, before the orange blob can actually do too much damage. This comment is based on hope, not belief. Sadly I believe he's a scumbag wrecking ball, aided and abetted by his scumbag mates.
Happy New Year! Thank you for the optimism- I have faith in Gen Z. Please support NJ gubernatorial candidate Mayor Steven Fulop and his down ballot candidates. NJ needs to stay blue, and Mayor Fulop is the only one with real leadership and experience to get the job done. Plus, we need Congressional leaders like Gottheimer and Sherrill to stay in Congress when the circus comes to town. 💙🇺🇸
I just want to say that I am glad to hear Gen Z is fed up with these Corporate Fascists.
I’m a babyboomer, I read everything I could get my hands on about World War II, Hitler’s rise to power, and the Holocaust. I was appalled but what I saw and the denial of the camps, the ovens, and mass graves, by so many and that denial persists today.
If we do not know what our World used to be, what people used to think and react to events. History is a roadmap through our past. If you don't know where you have been before; then how are we supposed to know if we are going there again?
This country has done better, and we can do better again. But it may take 20, even 40 years when the World can rejoice the the good in us has triumphed over the bad…once again.
Thank you Aaron. I am hoping that the left leaves TikTok completely because the bias and attacks of the left have been extreme. Even I took a ding for repeating a line from a news source. I told them I hope they remove me because I buy more items than I post videos and they immediately reinstated me. So, they heard the money part! You are wonderful and I hope the Gen z will tear the house down!!
Hello, everyone! Gather ‘round as we dive into the curious case of an attorney from South Africa, who, after 35 years of legal battles, decided to swap the courtroom for the writer's desk. Yes, it’s me, Thomas Potgieter! Now, you might be wondering what on earth possessed a 65-year-old attorney to start writing about the “Trump Shit Show.” Well, let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride since 2015—like watching a circus perform while the tent is on fire!
Now, when I first started watching American politics, I thought, “This can’t be real!” I mean, it’s like someone took Shakespeare, added a dash of reality TV, and sprinkled in a few Twitter rants. Who knew that the political landscape could resemble a soap opera where everyone is yelling, “You’re fired!” while dramatically pointing fingers?
And here I am, 18 months into this writing adventure, feeling about as confident as a cat at a dog show. But let’s be real—who needs confidence when you have a keyboard and an opinion? I’m just a retired attorney trying to express my thoughts without being cross-examined!
Now, you might ask, “Thomas, what platform should you use?” Well, if I knew that, I’d be writing bestsellers instead of rambling on to anyone who’ll listen! Maybe I’ll start a blog called “Legally Speaking: The South African Perspective on American Absurdity” or something equally pretentious. You know, a space where I can rant about the latest political antics while sipping on a cup of rooibos tea—because nothing says “serious writer” like a good cuppa!
So here’s where I need your help, dear audience. I don’t want payment; I just want to express my opinion! Help me spread my wings and share my thoughts on this mad world. Whether it’s through a blog, social media, or even a good old-fashioned letter to the editor—let’s find a way for this old attorney to share his views without being judged by a jury of his peers!
In conclusion, if a retired lawyer can dive into the comedic chaos of American politics and come out with a quill in hand, then surely anyone can! So, let’s embrace this journey together—because in the end, we’re all just trying to find our voice in this wonderful bazaar World

Go for it!! We need all the help we can get! (Now to find out what rooibos tea is . . . )
What strategy? Say no to what states do not want there.
