Time to boycott CBS!!!

Expand full comment
Heather.B's avatar

Yes!

I will boycott CBS except for the Late Show. We should boycott ALL Paramount and CBS movies and shows due to the cowardly cancelling of Late Show. Also, cancel Paramount Plus streaming. If enough of us do so, they will lose revenue from advertisers and we should boycott their advertisers until they rescind their spineless decision.

I love the fact that Colbert spoke truth to power knowing the possible consequence. Every dictator attacks and eliminates the known media to redesign it in the manner he desires.

Trump silences critics, rewrites culture, and demands loyalty, and payoffs. His vendetta is shaping a dystopian future. The only thing a dictator hates more than ridicule is when people laugh at him. I guess watching a comedian impersonate him every night hurts his little feelings.

The MAGA descent into authoritarianism is on full display. We’re watching the death of lawful dissent in real time. Their authoritarian playbook demands it. This administration is an authoritarian regime.

Just got my t-shirt which reads "We the People" are pissed off. This one 👇

https://libtees.dashery.com/products/76978001-we-the-people-are-pissed-off-t-shirt

This pissed off feeling that doesn't go away is what's going to power "We The People" to save our democracy!

Dead or alive it is not Trump who is in charge, but the authors of 2025 and Trump will be easily replaced by them when the time comes. To kill the poison, you need to dig out the roots. For those of us following Project 2025 what we have lived and what is our future is all there in black and white.

Moreover, the authors bet on very few of us reading Project 2025 before deciding whom to vote for and/or whether or not we would vote at all. They studied us and concluded Americans in the majority prefer watching things in play much like choosing to wait for the movie versus reading the book, and they won that bet.

But, perhaps by now some of us are no longer entertained and worn out by the drama and shock and awe. Perhaps by now some of us would prefer knowing what comes next. It is all there and in simple terms that what comes next will be concentration camps springing up, and not to house just immigrants, along with the full transfer of wealth.

That's our wealth. That's our savings. That's our income. That's all the funding that sustains and supports equitable rights and protections and basic benefits of a citizen in a democratic nation such as education for our children.

The whole nine yards including our children's future and their children's future. All of it impoverished and stripped and transferred to the millionaires and billionaires and oligarchs and large corporations and American corporate owned media.

Anyone else out there reading along? Please speak up. I’d like to see more coverage of the plan itself here on Substack versus the reactivity and minute to minute shock and awe. I’d rather be looking down the line and part of a group craving to be informed of what is planned versus distracted and entertained.

If we were living this out in the 1800’s not a person would have not read and craved learning what was on the pages of Project 2025. The printing presses would be working overtime, and the newsstands would find it flying off the shelf. Not today, however, despite the fact we can access it on our phones; and for that I am fully despaired and genuinely worried.

Obviously, what we are living thru today demonstrates we have incompetent leaders but one should not ignore the part a distracted and willfully uninformed people choosing those leaders has wrought upon us no matter whom you voted for in the last election.

I believe that weakness has been mined and used to the advantage of our oppressors. That is the weakness that leaves us so easily manipulated and divided. It is our weakness, and we need to own it. To be willfully distracted and uninformed is surrender. We surrendered. Yes? No? Can we talk about it? Are we ready? Had enough?

Even more frightened than I can say! Why are these people destroying the USA, why do they hate this country so much????

Expand full comment
ITSNOTSAFE's avatar

Why does evil exist? Why are there authoritarians and autocrats and dictators ruling a large number of nations across the world? Why are children abused and not protected across the world still? Why is prejudice so baked into our culture it has left us with a shrinking and stagnant talentless pool of a demographic representative of less than 50% of all the talent out there? Because none of it can be eradicated forever. Because it takes work to push back on it forever. So, the answer as to "why" I posit is "us" and what we choose to do individually and as a united people to disallow it. It's us.

Whomever replaces Trump will be worse and certainly no less of a clear an imminent danger for until we get to the root and upend everything all that we live and endure and lose and suffer for will be directed by the authors of Project 2025 funded by the interests of millionaires, billionaires, large corporations and the 100% owned media. We “the people” are expendable not because they did anything clever but because it was so easy for them to pull off. We need to own it and grow up and then unite and show outrage!

I don't see that now. I do know what you're talking about and it might have been true earlier -- the big dealmaker -- but now aging Donald has painted himself into a corner and his mental pathology is on steroids. This is what high double dominant authoritarian alphas do, they typically overperform earlier in their lives, but they go crazy when they don't see any way out of their own mistakes. His age and condition definitely do not help.

The reason it's hard to figure out is probably because they medicate him and he has periods where he seems almost coherent. But there's a definite mental decline in Donald Trump and we need to start addressing it.

I am supporting many on Substack where truth to power is spoken with gusto, although I have no way of judging if MAGA is getting any of the positivity.

They're in his sights. He's started making vague threats their way now. Think he's just going down the list alphabetically 🤷🏼‍♀️
