What happens if TikTok is banned? As someone who grew a following of more than 1.6 million Americans, I’ll be the first to tell you that it shouldn’t be. But, if it is, I’m going to make Substack, and this newsletter, one of my primary homes. As an independent journalist, providing accurate, timely coverage of domestic and international events has become my entire life over the past year. Right now, if I am not posting 10-12 times per day on my various social channels providing updates to my followers, then something is terribly wrong.
And, over the next four years, my updates will likely only get more frequent due to the chaos that is coming to Washington, D.C. right now. As an attorney, I listened to all 2.5 hours of the TikTok ban arguments yesterday, and my primary takeaway is that this United States Supreme Court did not seem sympathetic to TikTok’s arguments. In my opinion, the saving grace for TikTok could come from what is called an “Administrative Stay” should the Court wish to punt the issue and allow the Trump Administration time to negotiate a resolution on the issue with TikTok. But, it’s unclear whether there are five justices with the appetite to do so.
In any event, I wanted to take a minute to do a quick rundown of all the news you may have missed from the past 24-hours, outside of the TikTok ban. If you enjoy these short news snippets, let me know, more will come soon.

Thank you,
Aaron
Thanks for everything, Aaron. I am 48 years old, spent years watching CNN and MSNBC, but now, you are the only news source I trust. I hate to even say that, because I know that puts a lot of pressure on you. Remember to take time for yourself, take care of your mental health, and rest. We’ll still be here.
Thank you, Aaron! As a 74 year-old, and formerly long time CNN and MSNBC watcher let me say it again, thank you! I am now retired, but during my 30+ years as a public school teacher one of my prime goals was to help my students find their voice and then be unafraid to let it be heard. I've long said we need to be listening to our young people because they have an important perspective that we older folks need to hear. Even at my age I am an avid follower of yours on not only here on Substack but, yes, on TikTok as well. Keep going at it Aaron! You are doing great and important work! And once again......Thank you!
