I cancelled my 40+ year subscription to WaPo when Bezo's pulled the support opinion for Kamal Harris. I believe 200,000 of us cancelled then. I'm so happy you are now our beacon of truth. Thank you!

That was when I cancelled, as well.

I did the same. > 250 k of us cancelled subscriptions when Bezos didn’t endorse Kamala

My subscription said they couldn’t cancel it until next month. So I said okay I don’t get why they couldn’t do it the day of. I suppose I prepaid?

I am sorry for all the writers who are not complacent with current world toxicity. I am also glad large corporation media is experiencing a decline. We need a real journalism and reporters of facts.

Old enough to remember when they reported all of the Watergate story.

I canceled my subscription months ago. Yet they keep sending the news updates every morning. With a plea to resubscribe, of course. NOPE.

I literally just told midas touch that independent news media is the future and all mainstream media is dead

I'm starting to wonder about Midas Touch....I am aware of them quashing several reporters who wanted to spotlight the vote count anomalies showing the Russian Tail & validated by computer technology experts. The reporters went on to publish their own videos on the subject. Those reporters weren't conspiracy theorists either, they were reporting validated information & MT wanted nothing to do with it. So, I'm wondering about the agenda at that place. I actually unsubscribed from them. They were pushing their site so much, constantly, it overshadowed the actual news they purportedly were trying to bring. More concerned with their ratings than anything else, repeating stale news over & over. Plus the "sponsors" taking center stage too. I'm ambivalent about that network.

I think all media has the chance of running the risk of buddy having an agenda. And getting sponsorship, just like everything, everything starts little and then gets big, right? The whole point of independent media is that they're not being paid and they need to be kept accountable. So everybody should keep them accountable as well

I think that independent media means burning the whole system down and starting over from scratch, the whole point of journalism and freedom of the props is supposed to be that they tell honest stories that are true and they have morals and values. And that is what is supposed to be The utmost highest is their integrity. And I think independent journalists start out with that as a clean slate. And I think if they're going to get sponsorship, they need to get sponsorship from all over and not have an agenda or a right or left wing sponsorship, only 'cause it's supposed to be about the truth

I cancelled my subscription to WaPo when Jen Rubin left. If so many newspapers, as well as television stations can’t be trusted, where do people like you (Aaron) get your news from? Just curious.

I cancelled longstanding digital subs to the WaPo, NYT, and the New Yorker last summer when their editorial boards wrote articles urging Biden to step aside. No examination of whether Trump should "step aside" too. So much for balanced coverage. I realized I wanted reporting & analysis of the news, not participation.

Was (and am) outraged that the WaPo dangled a $40/yr offer to come back (I had been paying $120/yr) and the NYT offered $50/yr (had been paying $240/yr for DIGITAL ONLY). Felt they should have offered me years of free subs given how badly they had been overcharging me.

Now I use that money to support independent (i.e. real) journalism.
