Can you ask R senators "if you don't plan to uphold your oath to the Constitution to protect the United States from enemies both foreign and domestic, do you plan to retire from the Senate?"

Aaron--can you block this poster--or rather, imposter??

Question: How far do you expect the American people to “take action” to defend the Constitution if you won’t? Protests, phone calls and community outreach programs will NOT make a difference when a man is calling himself king and is being aided by a billionaire non-elected, non-citizen. You are leaving your constituents with no viable option other than full revolution to reclaim our country, even against those we voted for to be our voices in the most critical time in our history

Expand full comment

THIS! I have been saying this over and over. We the people elected you as our leaders. You swore an oath to protect and defend our Constitution from threats foreign and domestic. Where are our sworn leaders? Why is it up to us when we did everything in our power to prevent this. Why are the people in power sitting on their hands? We are screaming from the streets and it's falling on deaf ears.

I would really like you to ask Jamie Comer that question. Remind him of the number of Kentuckians who rely on food stamps and Medicaid (due to injuries suffered in now bankrupt coal mining operations). Ask him about federal assistance for Kentuckians who have recently lost their homes in flooding this week--now that FEMA is under fire. What alternative plan can he offer?

Expand full comment

Right!? Foreign & Domestic! Now's their time to put their money where their mouth is!

Expand full comment

To be completely honest, I think they’re hoping for that. They need the opposition to react and not just react calmly, but to react violently. Because if the opposition of Trump reacts violently, then they can take more aggressive and authoritative measures. Thus justifying their very strategic layout. It’s a very delicate situation, because they have really rigged and placed a lot of people in the right places to back any aggressive measures. Trump would take on people.

Expand full comment

…yes, by initiating Marshall law. I’m sure he can’t wait to do that, it’s the obvious next step.

Expand full comment

Exactly. Hes got TheBlue forcibly removing anyone who won't bend a knee, and that will lead to violence: just what he wants, so he can claim a military state. There is only one way out of this.💀💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Unless those in our military decide to honor their oaths then and take them all on.

I would like to know is when enough is enough before they start doing something about president Musk and First Lady Trump?

Expand full comment

Yes! Is it possible to impeach? I don't understand how the courts can't get involved to stop these executive and other orders from happening.

Expand full comment

Absolutely yes!!!

Expand full comment

They can impeach, but because the majority is red, he’ll be acquitted just like the last two times.

The courts won’t be doing much, I’m afraid.

Expand full comment

What makes you think Trump will abide by the courts? 🤷‍♂️

I agree!

Yes!!! We ALL want to know this!

yes! this! pleaseeeee.

Please ask them why women are the only ones that would get penalized after having an abortion? Maybe they should cover the costs of vasectomies/funerals/etc when a pregnancy unfortunately goes wrong and a decision has to be made in seconds. Its either the mom and/or the baby?! Women should NEVER be denied life saving medical care.

great question. what about the men??? what happens to them.

Expand full comment

Right?!? Especially if they’ve been cheating…

Expand full comment

it's the double standard we are all too acquainted with and held to. enough is Fn enough!!!

A Cuban cigar, whiskey in a Glencairn glass, and an "Attaboy." 😠😤😡

Expand full comment

The plan for men that is laid out in Project 2025 starting on pg 449 I believe, discusses more men’s rights and the impact of the “family”. They will try and keep the family together. That’s what I got out of it.

Expand full comment

Surely the Trump has no concept of family. How many times has he been married and divorced?

Expand full comment

What a joke. How effing honorable.

Expand full comment

Oh I agree.. the way it reads.. it’s like they would rather force the woman to stay with the husband to portray the “American Patriotic Family”.. smh..

Expand full comment

You're not wrong.

Expand full comment

It would also be great if you ask them if they plan on increasing the snap/EBT benefits once they put restrictions on the food allowed for low income families? Eating healthy is so much more expensive and half of the reason why people who have tough times cannot make it. It is unjust that restrictions are put on the poor without them adjusting the benefit to match the cost of healthy, non GMO, etc…etc.. etc….

While I am at it, someone should check if RFK Jr is going to ban all unhealthy food for just the poor or all Americans in general…. You know since it’s unhealthy and not just a “target” right?

Expand full comment

And maybe strike those unhealthy foods from the President's diet as well?? Big Mac and diet Coke. Really healthy, right?

Haha. #47 looks horrible

Seriously, why are Democrats not raising hell right now and doing everything in their power to resist? They told us to vote like our lives depended on it, but now it's just crickets. They can see what's unfolding, but they are just sitting idly. I would love to know WHY they aren't do it but everything in their power prevent the US from falling into facism. Why even be a nation leader if you don't want to lead...

Expand full comment

Dems are fighting back with all they have, but they do NOT have the majority. The key is to put pressure on Republicans that are up for re-election in the next cycle.

Expand full comment

Placing pressure against a party without morals is no different than peaceful protesting: nothing changes. What did the protests on Monday accomplish? Nothing. Taking the high road and playing by the rules is what got is here. They don't play by the rules

Expand full comment

Exactly, playing by the rules hasn't worked. Gloves Off Dems, time to fight dirty!

Expand full comment

yep!!!!

Expand full comment

Easy, Tyr. We get it. Those protests made the news. Not playing by the rules is what leads to anarchy. Trump and Musk are obviously not playing by the rules. The courts are slow, but armed combat isn't going to help speed them up. Do like me--I call Rand Paul's office daily (yeah, I hate to admit it, but he's my Congressman). They don't like it, but I have one news item each day I call to their attention and ask that they tell Mr. Paul we are watching. He needs to think about who will take Mitch's place at the power table. Right now, the power table rolls their eyes at his comments. Does he want to sink lower, or rise?

Expand full comment

Never said ANYTHING about armed combat!

Expand full comment

So find someone who is willing to run against the do nothing Republican, and support that candidate. Find your local Democratic Party chair and set a fire under them to find a candidate who can win.

Expand full comment

I read the interview with Trump and Musk and the whole thing was basically about painting a pretty picture of Musk due to all the hate he is getting I guess.

Expand full comment

The issue is they don’t listen. Why are democrats playing by the rules if republicans don’t? Playing by the rules and being “peaceful” is doing NOTHING

Expand full comment

That is an awfully long game, with the changes coming thick and fast. By the time we get back to having some voting power, there won't be much left to vote on. What can they do NOW to continue to put sand in the gears, to have a louder voice, even if it is in the minority right now? They need to stand as a block, have one very loud voice and it needs to be in the news and all media. Make their comments and actions something the media picks up on. Put their objections into very short sentences that highlight what is wrong with the current modus operandi to alert what (few) moderates and republicans unhappy with how their support is being played out that there is another game in town. Trump's outrageousness is all over our screens -- can we use the stupidity of his pronouncements as ads, and talking points? Can our congresspeople get the facts across more speedily so that those listening don't fall asleep while they finesse the fine points. I know there is a lot going on behind the scenes but it needs to be described not in lawyer language but in the language of values and what Americans stood for in WWII, what we stand for now.

Expand full comment

Maybe because we didn't vote like our lives depended on it. Have you seen the stats on the number of registered voters living in the traditionally purple states who did not vote?

Exactly.

As Ms. Holder said, Dems do not have the majority, even if they can get Bernie and Elizabeth on board--and Bernie isn't going to help the Dems. One of the keys the Dems need to turn is McConnell's seat blue. Another is to beat Massie and Comer into blue victories...and I doubt we even have candidates willing to try that! (Don't look at me--not my districts!)

I would like to know if there is now a plan to reduce the proposed budget by $4.7T now since that is the amount Musk is claiming he’s found in excess spending.

Expand full comment

As a follow-up to that question, I would assume that this would be the most fiscally responsible thing to do with any excess money saved/fraudulent spending found rather than “sending that money back to the taxpayers” as a surplus.

Expand full comment

Much of that amount has already been spent

Expand full comment

Felon & friends want to use it to buffer the 4.7T tax cut that’s expiring this year, but I’d *love* to hear Dems respond….

Expand full comment

No--that just goes to retire the debt and for interest payments.

Expand full comment

I would like to know what they are doing to oppose this blatant disregard of the constitution, and why it seems like nothing is happening? Also are they planning on protecting our civil rights and uphold the constitution.

Expand full comment

They are going to the federal courts. And those judges are appointed. MOST of them, regardless of political leanings, support the Constitution. Judge Chutkin is taking an unpopular route now, but its the safest since she no longer has the creme de la creme of federal attorneys helping her build on solid law. The federal "good old boys" lawyer network is very tarnished right now. Someone careful whose been there done that needs to step up.

🗣️Absolutely DO NOT vote for any part of this legislation that contains the SAVE Act. Please protect WOMEN and low income voters! DO NOT support anything that these thieves are trying to rip us off with. AND most importantly PROTECT Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Shut down the DOGE criminals!

Expand full comment

And why aren’t we hearing more about the SAVE Act?! Didn’t it already pass the House? It is literally existential for women but really for anyone who cares about the right to be heard and counted in a democracy.

Expand full comment

Could you ask them What the plan is now that Trump isn’t going to follow judges orders?(if he still is then what the plan is when he doesn’t)

Expand full comment

Are the Democrats going to hold firm and not agree to a budget in protest until they get concessions? Even if the government shuts down? We need to be firm. We have very few areas of power, here in creating a budget we do. Don’t agree! Hold firm. What is planned. Please save our democracy! There might NOT be another day. Crunch time guys!

What are they doing to protect social security for the seniors and the disabled people?

Expand full comment

Yes as a disabled person on SSDI, I feel like we are heading for a genocide of disabled people with rfk jr and musk and trump.

Expand full comment

I agree with you Brittany. First it will be Medicaid, Home and Community Based Services, then SNAP and next thing you know will be housing. So many people with disabilities will be forced back into nursing homes without the home support. Where I live they spent the last 10 years getting people out and into their own apartments and closing nursing homes. We have no nursing homes to put the thousands of people who can't live on their own with the Medicaid supports in place. What is going to happen!!!!

Expand full comment

Nursing homes are mostly horrible there mostly for the money and without Medicaid mostl won't be accepted.

Aaron, please ask them where our nation’s leaders are- the Obamas, Bush, the Clintons, Biden, our former Generals, Rex Tillerson, Kamala Harris, former heads of the FBI, anybody? We need strong leaders right now to get national attention, speaking out against this takeover of our democracy. We need to feel like all is not lost!

Please ask the Republicans when they are going to stand up and uphold their oath to the constitution and push back.

Right? at least some of them have to know this is wrong. How can they sleep at night?
