What I learned from RedNote: 1) We are more a third world country than China. 2) We are the bad guys. 3) Our government has been lying to us for decades.

Of course they want to ban Red Note. It has given great awareness to the American people of our reality and the anti Chinese propaganda they have force fed us our entire lives. Thank you for the newsletter, Aaron!

The CEO of TikTok should stay home! And banning Red Note - the Republicans really want us to revolt don’t they?

I love getting your new emails everyday letting me know you have posted on Substack! Thank you for all the work you do Aaron, I know it must not be easy to be a truth teller in a world full of deceit & lies. Thank you 4 breaking through that glass ceiling & finding a way to still bring us the news we NEED TO HEAR instead of what the bought & paid for main stream media gives us. You are appreciated in so many ways. Sincerely, Erin❤️

All the Chinese were so welcoming when I joined, lol. However China is our #1 threat and they want us divided for civil war.

Any truth to Trump and Vance being told to not go to the inauguration because of security threats? Thanks.

I heard that too. What scares me is that Biden, Obama, Bush, the Clinton's & other Congress members will all still be there! And didn't anyone tell them that if they don't show up then they will not be inaugurated?

Part of what I read was they were advised with the option to be sworn in while on the airplane heading to WH.

Have we ever gotten a detailed explanation about WHY there's such a national security concern on TikTok? I get the fear of a potential threat, but is there any evidence that China has tried to use TikTok to harm Americans?

As far as I know, and I know a well-connected State Department employee, there's been no evidence of actual Chinese manipulation, just a fear of potential manipulation, and also that U.S. intelligence is that the Chinese government has much more influence/control over ByteDance than the Chinese and TikTok admit.

Aaron do you think this [RedNote] is the national security threat they were worried about— or did I miss the unveiling of what that emergency was already?

Building on your question to Aaron - what I've been reading is that RedNote creators can be punished for certain comments/videos such as political statements. That won't affect U.S. app users - unless someone in the future chooses to visit China. While in China, could their RN comments be held against them if China gov't deems those past posts/comments offensive?

I have made a friend on Red Note and she told me that the Chinese have an understanding that they will not discuss politics with Americans. They want to focus on positive topics - food, travel, pets, nature, reading, etc. I find it refreshing that the conversations would devolve into those discussions. It’s lighter, if that makes sense.

Getting way overwhelmed by the number of communications, pings, inbox messages – – it was a lot easier to manage the incoming from accounts I liked to follow on TikTok. Definitely does not translate here. Will need to pare back.

The ban is to force China to sell to an American Oligarch- that simple. China should take it offline in America - they’ve already have the data and election is over - fck you America 🤗
