How do we get him out of office? Do you think it will come down to the military having to remove him?

Voting at the polls for change in 2025, 2026, and beyond. You won't get Trump out of office, but you can place a check on his power.

No we need to get him, musk job and mike Johnson out

Has to be some way besides elections

Because the elections are probably going to be rigged.

Flip both houses in '26. We get a Dem speaker. Immediately impeach Trump and Vance. Dem speaker becomes president.

Do you really think there will ever be a fair election again? He already said we're going to be surprised at mid-terms. Obviously he's a liar and a cheat and cab have Elon buy anything. Why would the mud-terms be different. Why can't the military pull a Russian asset out of the white house.

Great observation about a Russian asset in the White House. Hadn’t occurred to me to look at it that way with the fire hose that he’s opened. Changing the narrative appears to be essential.

I’m very concerned about Social Security. Why aren’t the Senators protecting us?

Expand full comment

They can't do much else from the minority, unfortunately. Right now, however, social security cuts aren't on the table, even though cuts to the workforce are.

But once there’s no workforce it’s only a matter of time before the payments stop being processed. Usually administrators make staff cuts to save money while ensuring the services are still maintained. These cuts are destroying our entire government. I fear we’re not protesting loudly enough!

Cuts to the workforce does mean cuts to coverage. It took me *four years* for social security to approve me for disability. That was 4 years of no income, being too disabled to work. Cuts to the workforce mean more disabled people will die waiting even longer periods with no income.

Historically, they have kept out of political issues after leaving office. Except Obama actively campaigned for Kamala. Mr. Biden, after a life in politics, doesn't want to be misquoted by Fox talking heads.

You're right. Except that Trump was extremely active during the four years preceding the election. The constant drum beat of lies, disinformation, and anger was ongoing. I think the Biden administration did more good than they get credit for in the face of constant dire messages from Trump and his surrogates.

You may likely remember the most recent Supreme Court of the United States (7-1-2024) ruling that essentially said that presidents have absolute immunity for acts committed as president within their core constitutional purview, at least presumptive immunity for official acts within the outer perimeter of their official responsibility, and no immunity for unofficial acts. The original notion of this goes back to the case of Nixon v. Fitzgerald (1982) which also held that presidents are "absolutely immune" in civil cases when the action at issue falls within the "outer perimeter" of their official duties. (Ref: Wikipedia Presidential immunity in the United States for more fun reading.)

By making your voice heard. You have influence. Your voice matters. Keep speaking up to your friends, family members, on the streets, and at the polls. The moment you are silenced is the moment we lose.

This terrifies me. I have 2 autoimmune diseases, heart disease, incurable leukemia and Long Covid plus a bunch more that doesn't need mentioning. My lifelong chemo costs $1,000,000 a year. I'm in a clinical trial for 10 years so I get it for free. I had a great paying job and now I'm medically destitute, I'm in the red always, I've had Covid 8x. If I don't get vaccinated, I'm a goner. I got vaccinated for the flu and still got it with 103.5 fever and no one to take care of me. What I do understand is that they don't care, not about you, not about me. I don't understand what you can possibly do with all of that money and why making people suffer is so satisfying. Well I do know they are narcissist sociopaths with no emotion. They want us in fear, and it's working for me. My death will be a long, painful, bleed out death. That won't happen because I'll be going out on my own terms.
