Aaron is a brave defender of democracy! Many public servants like my partner have been fired by the fascists. We are all trying to pivot in our careers - here is a song we wrote for the no kings protests: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/no-kings-anthem

Thank you, Aaron, for sticking to your principals and bringing us the news with integrity (and speed!! - you know, it’s okay to take a break every now and then lol). We appreciate all you are doing and continuing to build here on Substack. We are a subscriber and also follow you on threads 🧵

I had a little chuckle 🤭 with the 👍🏼, when many of us are going on and on, you said basically the same thing, just short and sweet!

Thanks for everything you do! Your "Breaking News" briefs are extremely important! It's like reporting from when I was much younger, at 74 I can clearly recall Walter Cronkite, the Huntley/Brinkley reports. They were just good reporting with no editorials, just information. That's what we need much more of.

I have almost left individual substacks because of the “beating a dead horse”. Not everyone knows that many people, to “share this with 4 of your friends, neighbors or the postman, so they can share it with 4 of their friends…”, yada, yada, yada. If I knew or associated with any Trump supporters, they wouldn’t watch anything on substack and the people who aren’t Trumplethinskin supporters, either already watch or have a lot more things going on in life than to just watch substacks all day. Just had to get that off my chest. Sorry for venting without permission.

I am glad you had the courage to step away from a secure job and future to take on tour new role. I am a paid subscriber and judge that I get good value for my money. Sure, I get impatient with your constant asking for paid subscribers, But I do ynderstand the necessity. You are indeed a teacher and you DO make a difference. I encourage you to take a FULL day off once a week. Spend time with your family away from the news. Many things worthy of tour attention and analysis will happen the next day.

Thanj you for the work you do.

Aaron doesn’t even come close to asking folks to become paid subscribers like a few others do. Or to “keep smashing the hearts”, or “share this platform with as many people as you can because we’re growing a community”…

You must be extremely bright to be able to get through all the education that you've had at such an early age. Yes I am a subscriber, and I only subscribe to two others. Between those three subscriptions, I feel I'm informed, which is important to me. I was a super achiever too and I like to know everything about everything. So thank you for all that you're putting into this!

Thank you for this background-

We are all fortunate to have you, you found a need to fill before, who k ew that it would soon become not merely to educate and inform- those are totally worthy pursuits!- who knew that it would become a FIGHT, you are battling a rising tide of lies and ignorance and disregard for the truth about anything, not just politics but science, history, society…

Thank you for your service and yes, I do mean to imply it’s like a military mission.

Aaron, your no frills precise reporting is the best! Your reporting is exactly what we need to know and without an overabundance of personal opinion. It’s obvious you are pro democracy, as most of us are, but your straight forward reporting also appeals to so many who are turned off by personal opinion and story spinning. Keep delivering the facts exactly how you have been. It’s what we need to get as many people open to the facts as possible. Thank you!

I became a subscriber because your reporting is clear and timely. Every few hours, I check in to see if you’ve reported on a story so I can stay informed. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your dedication throughout all this craziness.

Aaron, you are such a gift to all who follow and support your work. Thank you for your timely and articulate reporting. At a time when our freedoms are being taken away, our streets are full of militia, and the regime is working to control the narrative, your reporting is more critical than ever. Thank you!
