I’m on Medicaid and Medicare and it’s tough out here but I love reading what’s going on in this country and I need to know and so I have to tell you how profoundly I appreciate what you’re saying thank you so much

Requests for money come daily. During the campaign I tried to contribute a few dollars where I felt it might do good. During that time, I was following closely the bill making its way through Congress that would restore full social security benefits to me from the "double dipping" bill--having earned both SS and a pension paid into a teacher's retirement system, but without being allowed to pay into SS also. When I retired for health reasons at 62, I had only been a school librarian for 12 years, so the pension was small. My SS just paid for my Medicare and medications, so without my husband's SS and TIAA/CREF retirement from his 25 years as a professor, we would both be trying to continue to work. As it is, he still substitutes at age 74 in the local schools. After the bill was pass and signed by President Biden, I only received a year's worth of the benefits I should have received during those 12 years. My monthly SS would have increased and eased us financially. Within days of receiving that year's worth of payments, here comes "his worship" vowing to take apart SS for all the unworthy fraud we had caused the government. And if I called to complain, I'm doing so because my claim is a fraud. All this to say that if I were able to send you money, I would gladly be supplementing your income. You are a wonderful source of news, I don't have to decifer what you are saying, it is there well said, and succinct. I am so grateful to have found you and treasure your work because we need to be able to trust a news source to help get through all of this. If you were close by, we would have you for dinner, run errands for you, or help in anyway we could to make your life easier. Thank you and may God bless your work.
