Absolutely! Don’t let the job kill you; everything you do is incredibly important, but please take time for yourself, and I seriously mean time out of *every day*! There are doctors (surgeons, ER doctors, et cetera) and RNs who work 12+ hour shifts, but they have mandatory breaks/time off to rest and recover. Same for all very crucial workers (pilots, for example), they all have forced time off to recover. We all love the work you do, but if you don’t give enough time for you, we may not have you at some point! I don’t mean to sound rude or patronizing, I just want to add a perspective to think about (personally knowing many doctors, pilots, nurses, etc.). Basically, take care of *yourself* in the same way that you take care of all of us! Be well, and thank you for your incredible passion!
Please take care of yourself. Take time to program in at least 30 minutes of meditation, yoga or tai chi. Hire a personal teacher for these endeavors, someone to help keep you on track. Again, take the time to nourish yourself. We cannot afford to have you burn out!

Sadly both sidesism has been a bane both to the mainstream media and to society in general while real bias has been a benefit to one side far more than the other. Bring back a robust Fairness Doctrine if you want to see your concern addressed, but you can bet that most legislators and that most biased side of the media would be lobbying against it the minute it was suggested. In fact most of them would be bankrupted by it, which frankly I think wouldn't be a bad thing.
Anyone thinking journalists are, ever were, or ought to be neutral in reportage ignores the history of journalism and influence of editors. We are all products of our time and passions or never would have entered the profession. Devoted to facts, absolutely; devotion to being “Fair and Balanced” is absurd and unrealistic.
Copy, ignore not all journalists are part of the corp world. There have been some and Aaron has in part suggested giving just the facts mam so to speak. Yep chosen and sided facts. Rather be “unrealistic” as suggested rather than be part of caved world. Long gone is ai allowed to even utter the thought of questioning. Just be part of one crowd or the other to fit in the division world.

Zip-tying the hands of the elderly is abuse. As we age we develop thin skin susceptible to fine tears that introduce bacteria and other pathogens into our blood leading to infection, wounds and bruises that are slow to heal. It’s unnecessary to zip-tie a senior’s hands and compromise their lives and the safety and well-being of some of the people in wheelchairs. Zip-tying the hands of ANYONE who is compromised is abusive and nothing but a display of dominance.

I so appreciate your hard work. My 29 yr old daughter has complex disabilities and most people think Medicaid is only so people living in poverty can go to the Dr. For people with disabilities it’s so much more. Medicaid is 75% of our household income (SSI the other 25% $80 of SNAP, per month, is mixed in too). Deep cuts to Medicaid is so much more than people not being able to go to the Dr. It means not having anyone to get you out of bed, feed you, bathe you, and so much more. It could be life or death for some. Lord help us!
