Absolutely! Don’t let the job kill you; everything you do is incredibly important, but please take time for yourself, and I seriously mean time out of *every day*! There are doctors (surgeons, ER doctors, et cetera) and RNs who work 12+ hour shifts, but they have mandatory breaks/time off to rest and recover. Same for all very crucial workers (pilots, for example), they all have forced time off to recover. We all love the work you do, but if you don’t give enough time for you, we may not have you at some point! I don’t mean to sound rude or patronizing, I just want to add a perspective to think about (personally knowing many doctors, pilots, nurses, etc.). Basically, take care of *yourself* in the same way that you take care of all of us! Be well, and thank you for your incredible passion!

Sadly both sidesism has been a bane both to the mainstream media and to society in general while real bias has been a benefit to one side far more than the other. Bring back a robust Fairness Doctrine if you want to see your concern addressed, but you can bet that most legislators and that most biased side of the media would be lobbying against it the minute it was suggested. In fact most of them would be bankrupted by it, which frankly I think wouldn't be a bad thing.
Very few follow both sides of the story -- and no one side is always correct. We are a nation of immigrants except for our native brothers and sisters who need to fight to be treated equally with the newcomers. We were founded on freedom of religion but not just one religion. Our elected officials lost the handle on immigration. Wouldn't you have tried to get to the US as soon as possible for a better life for your family. But now all immigrants -- legal and illegal -- are in fear of unfair treatment. I'd hate to be a Marine with the possibility of harming fellow citizens for some political agenda. And ICE -- if you are treating your targets fairly -- why do you need to hide behind a mask? Are you embarrassed to do your job to the best of your ability without all the violence? Immigrants are not the enemy. The government failed to control their access to the US. But the potential new citizens are here now and we honestly need their help to to make America great. Think of the work/jobs there are doing for us-- just trying to get along and improve their lives. If we get rid of all of them -- are you ready to step up for a minimal wage.

Zip-tying the hands of the elderly is abuse. As we age we develop thin skin susceptible to fine tears that introduce bacteria and other pathogens into our blood leading to infection, wounds and bruises that are slow to heal. It’s unnecessary to zip-tie a senior’s hands and compromise their lives and the safety and well-being of some of the people in wheelchairs. Zip-tying the hands of ANYONE who is compromised is abusive and nothing but a display of dominance.

My 29 yr old daughter has complex disabilities and most people think Medicaid is only so people living in poverty can go to the Dr. For people with disabilities it’s so much more. Medicaid is 75% of our household income (SSI the other 25% $80 of SNAP, per month, is mixed in too). Deep cuts to Medicaid is so much more than people not being able to go to the Dr. It means not having anyone to get you out of bed, feed you, bathe you, and so much more. It could be life or death for some. Lord help us!

They are gutting Medicaid & the Medicaid expansion that helps the poorest workers have a subsidized ACA medical insurance. The ICE & Military spending added to the billionaire tax give aways will blow the National debt to Mars approximately 4.5 Trillion dollars, the crap with the tariff wars tanked our credit & our bond market, which means we will pay higher interest rates on the money we owe plus the new debts if the Tax scam budget bill passes. These economic deficits automatically triggers a halt to Medicare. The automatic withdrawal of Medicare is called PAYGO! Please spread it far & wide. This was published by the Congressional Budget Office right before the full House vote on the bill was taken. Fight hard this is seniors & disabled primary insurance that we earned! We paid into it. This is theft.
