Find someone good at making timelines, map out those cuts that drift into place in 2026 & 2027. They will try to blame the democrats after the 2026 election. Tie that timeline to this bill to link the responsibility.

They made some of the changes to come after midterms so people would say “they were exaggerating how bad it will be,” so they could assure Republicans voting for it wouldn’t cause them any problems.

Expand full comment
Kamm's avatar

They did it so people would still vote for them in '26. We have to keep getting the word out that this is happening because of yesterday's vote. Too many people have short memories. Also, after the midterms, when the Dems win, they will then blame the Democrats for any further implementation of the Big BS Bill.

That’s my understanding of it also. When I owned a restaurant, even my part time servers made way more than that. So this doesn’t come close to “no tax on tips”

That means a lot of people barely getting by on tips in the cities won’t see much difference at all. How calculated of them.

The no taxes on tips is a joke! Tips paid in cash are not reported anyway and paid by card expire in two years while the wealthy permanently get to keep theirs. We will never get out of debt because what we will take in will never cover it. Gilded Age Part Two!.

please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe that big Corps. that give out large bonuses, those bonuses are also considered as, "No Taxed Tips"...in addition the, no tax on tips, for the hospitality industry is only temporary (3 years) and the "No Tax on Tips" for people working for large mega rich Corp. is permanent ? ...if this is true, it looks like another side hustle scam by the GOP scum raping 99% of the working people in the country .

Bonuses are taxable supplemental income -- been retired for six years as owner/accountant of a small biz and bonuses were included in taxable income.

"Percentage Method: Withhold a flat 22% rate for bonuses up to $1 million. For amounts over $1 million, the first $1 million is subject to 22% withholding, and the excess is withheld at 37%. Still if you bonus is over a million do you care about the additional 15%. But always best to check with your accountant.

It's already in their plan. From an AI search:

Yes, Republicans considered delaying some Medicaid cuts to mitigate political impact and secure support for their "One Big Beautiful Bill" Act, especially among moderate members of their party facing reelection in 2026.

Specific examples of delays or considerations related to the 2026 timeframe:

Harsher provider tax limits: Limits on provider taxes that help states finance Medicaid expansion, initially set to take effect early in 2027 (just after the 2026 elections), were reportedly being considered for delay by Senate Republicans.

Work Requirements: The Senate version of the bill included a provision allowing the Health and Human Services Secretary to grant "good faith" waivers to states to delay implementing work requirement checks until 2029. This suggests a potential flexibility that could be politically advantageous.

Redetermination Requirements: While the bill mandated six-month eligibility redeterminations for Medicaid expansion individuals starting December 31, 2026, some earlier discussions may have explored later effective dates

It will be the bill-political suicide of yesterday which impels partisans to defy even that lofty grandeur of insanity, when (20) senate Republicans and (13) senate Democrats come up for reelection in November of 2026.

In Terms Unstolen:

Already bracing ourselves for the divide-and-conquer campaigns they will run, we take a step back, to recall that James Madison defined a “pure Democracy” as a "society consisting of a small number of citizens who assemble and administer the government" themselves. (footnote 1)

Whereas the cofounders recognized that would not be possible, given the size of our country, they devised a representative form of Democracy that is referred to as our "Republican Form of Government" in the Constitution. (footnote 2)

Thus reminding ourselves that we, the Members of our American Republic, are in fact all republican-democrats.

As well as that, ironically, to breach the Constitution that forms the Offices that our Public Servants currently hold, is to dissolve their own seats in our General Government, whilst the State Governments persist and we pursue happiness as Members of our immutable Republic:

Turning Two Hundred & Forty-Nine (249) today, the Charter that Formed Our Republic & Codified Our Rights as forever unalienable, remains as perfect and unalterable as the day the it was signed! (footnotes 3 & 4)

MAGA Arrogance And 2026 Election Subversion

Knowing that the budget bill is highly unpopular with the American electorate(only 17% felt the bill was acceptable), one can only surmise one of two things

1 The MAGA/Christian Nationalist movement is willing to take the risk that they will lose the midterm elections and that in a short period of time they will gain the electorate's confidence back again

2 With the successful 2024 election subversion behind them the Nazis are now emboldened that they can subvert the 2026 midterms since they have the program to make them unafraid of manipulating another election Remember the Orange Cheeto saying that if he's elected in 2024 "my beautiful Christians won't have to vote again" Armed with his Palantir software Peter Thiel along with Musk have the AI generative ability to cull out registered voters and Musk has the capability to alter voting machines with his Starlink network The already vigilante challenges that eliminated 3.5m registered voters from the rolls promoted by 40,000 volunteers will also be on the table

The arrogance that the Nazi party has is supported by their above corrupt voter suppression and voter elimination tactics Make it harder to vote and we'll win

So America are we going to let them get away with this?? If there was ever a time for WE the People to stand up for the government we want to see it is NOW

Meanwhile PROTEST PROTEST PROTEST to keep the pressure on this Nazi regime and show other more timid Americans that it's time to VOTE November 2026 Also contact Secty of States in your states and let them know our concerns

It’s about protecting ego and fragile emotions. To admit it means, you actually have to take action. Denial is easier until it is knocking at your door and taking you away. The majority of Americans are already passive because they have been made to be. They are taken it up the ass from corporations and billionaires for decades. Since they have had to take it up the ass at work and across their life as an American since the system is fucking them, they have learned to be passive. They are primed and ready for a fascist country because they will continue being passive and suffer because that is what they’ve already done. Unfortunately, the suffering under a fascist regime is a lot different than being fucked by billionaires and corporations who will now control their lives and demand compliance or death.

I just received a text from ssa.Gov saying this:

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is celebrating the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill, a landmark piece of legislation that delivers long-awaited tax relief to millions of older Americans.

The bill ensures that nearly 90% of Social Security beneficiaries will no longer pay federal income taxes on their benefits, providing meaningful and immediate relief to seniors who have spent a lifetime contributing to our nation's economy.

“This is a historic step forward for America’s seniors,” said Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano. “For nearly 90 years, Social Security has been a cornerstone of economic security for older Americans. By significantly reducing the tax burden on benefits, this legislation reaffirms President Trump’s promise to protect Social Security and helps ensure that seniors can better enjoy the retirement they’ve earned."

The new law includes a provision that eliminates federal income taxes on Social Security benefits for most beneficiaries, providing relief to individuals and couples. Additionally, it provides an enhanced deduction for taxpayers aged 65 and older, ensuring that retirees can keep more of what they have earned.

Social Security remains committed to providing timely, accurate information to the public and will continue working closely with federal partners to ensure beneficiaries understand how this legislation may affect them.

I thought that was not in the bill?
