My son just graduated from Highschool and he’s studying languages and cultures with an undergrad in journalism. So excited to see what the world will be like for him in 4 years and what he and his generation will do.
Congratulations and may I offer my wish for great blessings and a life enriched by following his interests encircled by a supportive community and love.
Aaron this sort of day will help you keep doing it.I am receiving a variety of post recently called the Parnas perspective but its not you. Do you endorse them??
Thank you for all you do & for all of us who may be a bit older and may have been bitten by the pessimism mosquito! What you do renews hope & optimism for us all! Дякую 🙏 Kiitos! (Thank you)
I’m so glad that they got to meet you. And so encouraging to hear that they want to go into journalism, even with how they are treated by so many. (Terribly) That makes me really happy to hear that they still have those goals. Thanks for giving them encouragement that they need
Aaron, I have been a high school journalism teacher for about 30 or more years. Now I'm my late 80's, I Soo wish I could get back in a classroom now. But I have faith and pray the new generations of journalists will do fantastic reporting. Glad you shared your enthusiasm to a bunch of high school journalists. Watch them blaze new Substack articles. I'm excited!
That is just so cool! I started in newspapers in 1968. I'm encouraged by Aaron and these up-and-comers who are committed to a free press, free speech, and real democratic norms. I share your excitement about these generations. Passing the mantle is critical!
You are making a huge difference. I actually just recently used you as an example in one of my writing essays for grad school how journalism is shifting more towards independent/freelance journalism. My prof thinks its awesome what you do!
Your participation in this event is magnificent! And your most telling comment was "it is the work that matters." In these dark days for science I would say the same thing to aspiring young scientists. It is not fame, etc., it is the work that matters. If you want the work badly enough you will find a way to do it.
I also have enormous hope for our country’s future, because of the energy and intelligence of the younger generations. Let’s hope we can keep the country a democracy long enough to enjoy that hopeful future!
Our future leaders are in high school today. Thank you for speaking the truth to them and inspiring them. Well done! If I already subscribe and forward your posts, how else can I support your fact-based independent reporting?
You are an amazing role model. Bravo!
Indeed! So great to get the youth involved in what is so important right now.

Thank you so much Aaron you are such a good mentor for them to look up to.
Thank you Aaron! I children need positive young role models to look up to now!!!
I taught high schoolers, they are blunt and jaded already. I cannot wait for them to take over!! They have zero fucks to give.
Love it!

That’s amazing!!! You’re such a good person to be speaking to our youth. They need as many great role models as possible.
That is great, 😌.
