I have a question. I have watched Congress in action via PBS live coverage for 12 years. Wow did that open my eyes! I'm guessing many people have not had that opportunity and it is time-consuming. I think you might be under the impression that the law all across the board works like maybe as on TV. Or that The president really can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. I understand the frustration of people who believe our senators and representatives are not doing their job. From watching them I believe they are. Some of what they are asking them to do would be exactly what these people we went out are doing. It isn't legal in any way shape or form, But the only people who can stop that are the people as in we have to stop this. What they are doing is everything in their power to stop it or at least slow it down to give us time.
My question is do they have any advice for what the people can do to help, short of taking up arms. Because I believe we will know when/if we have to do that.

What's heartbreaking is so many truly believe this. First, they only came up with this $5,000 to each taxpayer after their ratings started to drop. It is just a means to distract you while they continue to raid our democracy. Second, why would you believe anything from an administration that has done nothing but lie? The only thing they have done so far is serve their own self interests. Third, I'm not sure where you live, but $5,000 doesn't go very far. Especially for those supporting families, living paycheck to paycheck, and already barely surviving. Finally, it's insulting that they think we can be bought for $5,000. Personally, my freedom is worth more than that. We must not be so shortsighted. Their actions have long-term negative/destructive repercussions.

As a step father of an autistic child I am worried about the consequences of losing the department of education are they going to protect those most vulnerable in our society.
I am interested about why they have voted to confirm people who are very clearly not qualified for these cabinet positions and have an agenda.
And if their response to that is “we believe they are qualified,” give physical citations and evidence and ask a follow-up.
I am also interested in their reaction to these people not answering questions directly (ie. they are being asked an explicitly yes/no question and they give a long response not containing a definite answer/opinion). And present physical evidence to them so they cannot refute and they are seen for what they are.
I believe the individuals nominated and approved for these cabinet positions are chosen specifically to lay waste to these departments- not run them effectively, professionally and with integrity, intelligence. Run them into the ground.

Is this true and if so, how do we as a country make it so billionaires and corporations cannot hijack the government like this?

Tim Kaine voted for 5 of the cabinet. Mark Warner voted for 7. These dudes are worthless and morons.
