I hope we can repair the damage with our allies and friends in other countries, when trump is out of office, or expires. Which ever comes first.

I'm intrigued by the expiration date. Evil seems to prevail with the two nut cases at the helm.

I will take a generation or more at the minimum to restore the damage Trump has done to our relationship with our allies. But it also may be lost forever. They have evidence we cannot be trusted and will never again trust us. That is the way the world works on a global scale to the most mundane. Burn me once shame on you. Burn me over and over and over again, shame on me.

I think the other countries know it's not us, but trump, and once he is gone, they would be able to breath again.

It is definitely not lost forever, but it is forever changed. This will scar us for the remainder of our lifetime. This has happened before and we have gained back trust, but not with republican presidents.

Trump does nothing but lies. He's destroying America!

Actually, he has done the job for America has been destroyed on every level and in the eyes of the world. On this trajectory we will slide into the living standards of a third world country. It is not going to get any better. There is no one and nothing coming to our rescue. We need to fight not with words but on the streets; be willing to be dragged out of meetings; it is a war that our POTUS has declared on our democracy. It is war.

You wonder if Putin has some dirt on Trump...

Follow the money -- it is all about riches not some tawdry scandal -- Trump was allowed by us in the collective to gain the most powerful office in the world -- Trump is transactional -- Trump is fixated on wealth and real estate to develop into sources of more wealth -- Jared Kushner is his wing man -- His sons are idiots but dangerous -- Upon taking oath Trump exchanged his power for wealth and access to wealth -- Remember the old adage: the wealthy crave power and the powerful crave wealth. He uses Musk's wealth to cripple and cower the Republican party who fear they will lose their careers -- He craves to be an oligarch and sees Putin as the pathway to that goal -- Trump is transactional, and he has made a deal with the devil by selling out the lives of Americans and the relationship we held with our allies and all those who depended upon us to help them rise from suffering and disease. Our government is caving in. Our public schools and our post offices will be privatized. And we will be starved of education, health and the basics of sustenance. Read Project 2025. Anyone has not read it should really ask themselves why they have not done so.

The deal is between Trump and Putin. Ukraine is what is owed Putin for his efforts in getting the orange flea bag voted into office. Two miscreants running the world.....what could go wrong?

Her mentioning what hold Putin has on Trump reminded me of a story from last week where a former Soviet KGB spy said that Trump was recruited as a KGB spy in the 80’s. Aaron could you investigate this??? When it was reported on Friday, within six hours a lot of the articles were removed. https://bylinetimes.com/2025/02/21/donald-trump-was-recruited-by-the-kgb-under-codename-krasnov-claims-former-soviet-spy-chief/

So many Americans totally support Ukraine and Zelensky and are also outraged at the change of stance promulgated by the Trump administration--the utter gall ! The utter shortsightedness! The utter greed and duplicity and bullying of this administration. Please stand firm and do not allow these Mafia style threats to prevail.

81% of Americans want the US to continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend itself. -Recent Quinnipiac Poll

Over 80% is an overwhelming number for a poll of any kind, especially when it comes to a divided nation such as ours. What administration other than a. authoritarian one can resist such staunch public sentiment.

This is strong evidence that the nation has already slipped, in a month’s time since Trump took office, from a constitutional republic to an autocracy by way of an oligarchy. Reversing this will be difficult if not impossible.

I think one thing we can ALL do is to stop referring to him as “president trump”. By including the title, that’s showing respect. When you must say his name only call him Don or trump with NO title. I, for one, have NO respect

I'm really tired of Democrats talking about how they're powerless and blaming the American people. Get creative, shut down congress, get out in the streets, be willing to get arrested - you're in congress - nothing terrible is going to happen to you. If they want the American people to speak up and protest, they can lead by example. The American people are looking for leaders.

I believe they are. One comment a Democrat reported was that Republican Congressmen-women responded,”Look how that turned out for Kinzinger.” They are concerned about losing reelection. Meanwhile, the country is in flames. I would agree that this congresswoman is not quite aggressive enough in her reply.
