Democratic leadership needs to get a clue if they are upset about the “protests” at the speech.

Dems need new leadership.

Full stop. Younger, aggressive leaders who are not afraid to speak truth to power. They have some great available to them. They must tap them.

Texas House Rep District 52. Deeply Christian, but one hell of a progressive democrat that minces no words when it comes to our republican leadership and the democrats sitting back doing nothing. He’s got a heck of a back bone.

The “Democrats” are acting strangely! They had better start fighting back by challenging every lie that the republicans put out! I love what Senator Mark Kelly said and he replied to the little coward Elon, to basically mind his own business, which is failing fast 💨.

Fuck “house democratic leadership”. They should focus on leading more effectively, and stop nitpicking the archaic “decorum” standards of Congress. Someone needs to remind them that they are all replaceable

I read an interesting article recently about it (on Substack, don’t remember who wrote it, maybe Heather Cox Richardson?) about how, given the congressional over representation of red states, and the fact that blue states are more populous, and therefore easier to gerrymander, the right *always* had an advantage in elections. Which means that democrats try to win elections by appealing to the middle, and republicans try to win by doubling down. Both tactics work sometimes. But it basically means, just like Black women need to work twice as hard as white men for the same job, progressives have to work twice as hard as conservatives to get their seats in Congress. Part of why I don’t think this ends with democrats “winning” back the White House. The whole system needs to be scrapped and restarted. I don’t really want to be here when that happens, but I don’t see any way around it.

They want to use disabled people for fucking biofuel, for fuck’s sake. They’re monsters, and they’re why god made guillotines

Heather Roni's avatar

I’m saying even returning to the status quo of having a “progressive” in the White House, we still don’t have socialized health care or guaranteed time off for paternal leave, or even for sick days, no increase in federal minimum wage in 16 years, a nationwide housing crisis, no way for most people to go to college without crippling debt, presidential seats available to the highest bidder…

It’s a long list of things that almost every other western country has that Americans do not have, and doesn’t seem to be on the horizon, because the *best case scenario* is that we return to that bullshit status quo four years from now, and that’s not good enough. Because the odds are not in our favor. Because the left will *always* have to run to the middle to win, which pushes us inevitably farther to the right.

I’m not advocating violence. But I don’t see how any of this ends without violence. If you can, I’d love to hear your plans. Please. Tell it to every Democrat in Congress, because they don’t know what to fucking do

Trump wants to sell the U.S. to Russia, entirely for his and his own financial benefit. So no. He’s trying to sell the country. I’d like to see it saved, and all people in it flourish. Even Nebraska farmers. But it’s not sustainable in its current state

I don't think he an agent, but definitely a Russian asset. There is an author by the name of Craig Unger, he has studied this extensively and written two books on it.
