It baffles my mind that those who support freedom and liberty are standing with someone who wants to control the population. The delusion is strong

Yeah, I don’t get it either. My brother is one. If my mom was still alive she’d take a shotgun to him—knowing. It’s so embarrassing and frustrating. These people won’t or can’t see what all this is leading to. I still think the Gates of Hell opened and the demons poured forth to take us over.

You're right, but it’s not just delusion. It’s by design.

When “freedom” is sold without responsibility, it becomes a weapon.

Authoritarians hijack the language of liberty to build loyalty while quietly building control.

Our task isn’t just to wake up others, it's to shield what’s still sacred.

Yep and it’s all in Russell Vought’s 2022 essay he released on the web and then incorporated into the Project 2025 manifesto and through his Center for Renewing America in a conservative Christian nationalist framework. He and Stephen Miller are like the two lead demons from

Hell. IMHO.

Expand full comment
Virith's avatar

Yes, Project 2025 isn’t just a policy blueprint. It’s a theological weaponization of the state.

Vought, Miller, and others are building a purity regime, one where dissent isn’t debated, it’s purged.

That’s why shielding what’s sacred means more than speech.

It means organizing, disrupting, and protecting at every level, before their doctrine becomes law.

Yes. Hitler and his nazi thugs tasked IBM to develop the technology to manage and easily access national census data, ghetto data, military logistics, train traffic (I'm not referring to family fun train rides), and concentration camp capacity. IBM worked for them from the beginning of the Third Reich to the end of WWII, even while THE UNITED STATES WAS IN WAR WITH GERMANY. WAKE UP, PEOPLE. I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I?

While I agree, that doesn’t mean we can’t annoy the heck out of them and stress out their staff in the process. Keep bombarding phones, inboxes - but ultimately we have to protest, we have to strike, we have to do other things as well, and I agree, we have to do them more often.

Yes, of course we can muck up the works. By the millions. They have people answering phones so it doesn't fall on their heads. THEY DO NOT CARE, or they would've done something by now. If the receptionists quit, they'll just hire new ones. We might bring down their internet servers, though. That would be funny & necessary.

KingRayVet's avatar

Time for some real outside-the-box thinking right now. I have 0 faith in congress. They're moving slower than the resistance, and most of them don't care. They're in on this grab for the U.S.

I suppose every little bit helps, but this is so massive that it's going to take some massive solutions as well. They're moving at lightning speed. Project 2025 is 42% complete, and we've got to figure out how to get word out without TV or corporate media. They're intentionally keeping the lid on everything with propaganda, buying those folks time to move faster than the U.S. can move against them.

I'd tell everybody what I think, but it would only worry folks more than cause that outside-the-box mentality. Doing the same thing over & over again, expecting different results is the definition of insanity, spinning your wheels, and PLAYING IT SAFE!

Dammit, I miss the courage of folks in the 1960's ... when I was growing up. 🤨

People better wake up and find the leader within themselves; act accordingly. If you're all in, you really won't be waiting for someone else to tell you what to do. There is a danger hanging out talking, talking, talking about this crap on social media instead of plotting your course. I’m asking not if this is moral or ethical but is there a legal basis to create this data base and what it’s going to be used for. The government has so much of our information, but to place the collection/consolidation in the hands of a private company (never mind the owner is scary extreme right wing) but to what purpose and where is the justification for its inception? That amoral unconstitutional and downright evil actions are being done every moment of this administration, I ask what has happened to the branches of government set up so not one would hold such absolute power? How could the rule of law be swept aside so easily? It has lasted over 200 years to be dismantled/demolished by a thick black sharpie and chainsaw

Presidents, both Democratic and Republican, have been accumulating power for years. The culmination is Trump, especially since the SCOTUS6 imbued him with essentially absolute immunity. In 1787, George Mason, saw the weaknesses in the nascent Constitution, which he memorialized in his 16 objections, printed in September of that year. He was against unrestrained presidential pardon power (#8), and felt the government would “vibrate” between a “corrupt tyrannical aristocracy” or “monarchy” and end up as one or the other (#15). He refused to sign off on the final iteration. The bottom line is that the US Constitution had big holes in it from the very beginning, just waiting for someone to drive a truck through them. https://www.archives.gov/files/legislative/resources/education/bill-of-rights/images/mason.pdf
