Good for Canada for standing up against Felon47.

Anyone opposing this should move to Blue states. Drain the workforce of red states. Protect yourself and don't spend money at places that support the elimination of DEI.

Sean's avatar

Girl with what money? What money do you think us blue dots have to be able to move to some of the most expensive states in the country? Are blue states gonna sponsor us, or are we supposed like refugees from state to state?

Expand full comment
Beccy Howard's avatar

Who knows, we may get to a point where blue states do need to become a safe refuge for anyone fleeing red states. But if we get to that point, I'm guessing we will be looking at civil war

I was simply answering the question of what people have the option of doing. Unfortunately we won't be spared from the "find out" phase just because we disagree with this administration. Times are going to be tough for all.

Find the least expensive part of the state and move there, if you can. Find work first, then relocate?

not everyone can afford to though

Meghan's avatar

Not agreeing with that statement but blue states do pay more. I went from making 37k to 80k when I was in my twenties just by applying for a job in a blue state. It’s extremely expensive here and everything is smaller but it is possible to move if you wanted to. What we need is a shift in thinking that reaches red states rather than to all flee them.

It is important to let reps know how you feel. If we are silent, they think we agree with them, and that makes us complicit in their corrupt support of CCF (Chief Convicted Felon) Dumpster.

oh I’m not saying don’t call at all, I’m sorry if it came off that way! I’m just wondering like what more can we do because just calling them doesn’t feel like enough. I mean, I’m not gonna Jan. 6th the place, but I just feel so utterly useless

Expand full comment
Bambi Vargo's avatar

Yes, I agree with you. Calling seems like the only thing we can do, and I wish there was something more impactful we could do. But I am just listening to Rachel Maddow explain how the pushback against putting a hiring freeze on VA staff, stopping distribution of HIV/AIDS meds, and stopping funding to NIH for cancer trials and cancer research got Dumpster to backpedal and reinstate these services. FUBAR. (Are you young enough to know about this? !ucked Up Beyond All Recognition.).As a matter of fact, I am going to contact my reps and complain about the MUMPS having access to the federal payment system. Scary stuff.

Expand full comment
Bambi Vargo's avatar

We know that calling will not change their culted minds, but they need to know that there are voters who do not agree with what is happening. If we are silent that makes us complicit in their support of CCF (Chief Convicted Felon) Dumpster.

Musk is a huge problem. He's basically bought himself a country and Trump is giving up his power to him. Even if we succeed in stirring the Republican Congress (who have also given up their power) enough to Impeach (or win Dems in a House election), we'll be left with a dismantled country and JD Vance/Peter Thiel at the top. Do we revolt? What in the HELL are we supposed to do?
