All of those protests and I didn’t hear about a single one of them getting violent. Great job everyone. Let’s do this again.

They didn't get violent because the police didn't escalate things. At some point that will change when they are told to start squashing the dissent...

There was 1 that had MAGA show up to counter. They were ready for the Elon and Trump chants. Our side changed their chat to protect the constitution, MAGA wasn’t ready for that and packed up and left. I honestly believe if the chant hadn’t changed violence would have eventually happened. Also, I think there was no violence because there were former MAGA who were protesting too because even they are pissed at what is happening. The hardcore MAGA ppl are the only ones that are still with Trump. I actually know 2 who were hardcore MAGA and wanted everything that Trump is doing except the firing of all of those fed workers. They are fed workers who were fired. They were at the protests in Vegas to protest along side Dems.

They wanted? I've heard that from hardcore maga, too. Thing is, trump denied knowing Project 2025. trump never said anything about doge, because he didn't create it till inauguration. Goes with musk cutting everything. trump ran on lowering prices. Mass deportation. He didn’t run on what he's doing. He didn’t run on Canada becoming 51st state, taking over Greenland and taking "back" Panama. He didn’t run on renaming the continental shelf, the Gulf of America (read his EO). Your people are as big a liars as the ones I run into, claiming trump is doing what they voted for. No, no he's not. Would they have voted for him, knowing he'd put massive tariffs on every country, territory, plus some uninhabited islands that would crash the stock market, sending us into a recession, possibly a depression worse than the Great Depression? Taking $11.1 TRILLION from from the Stock Market since inauguration, thousands from their 401k? If they say yes, they're psychopaths and are deep in the cult. There's no hope for them.

I’m not disagreeing with you, but we have to remember that FOX gives them excuses for all of it. They are saying the stock market crashing is “an expected adjustment”. They are telling them that after this “adjustment” prices will fall and the stock market will be steady. You just have to trust in Trump and the process. And they do. So, I think, in their head they believe they did vote for it and things will work out in their favor in the end. As for Greenland, Canada and Panama, they don’t believe he will try to do that, it’s just Trump being Trump and he’ll move on. Until he doesn’t and then FOX news will tell them why it’s actually a good move. And, they will believe that too.

I understand completely what you're saying.

I only know what the maga on YouTube and tiktok say. On there, they very much want trump to take over Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal. They call Canada the 51st state. If Greenland needs to be taken by force, they're all for it. They believe whatever company is buying ports in the Panama Canal, and they've said that that makes it the USA. Their minds are gone. I read the EO on trump's gulf of America. In it, he says the continental shelf. trump doesn't understand his own EO, maga have never read it, as I've witnessed almost on the daily when it's brought up.

43 U.S.C. 364 through 364f to

"take all appropriate actions to rename as the ‘Gulf of America’ the U.S. Continental Shelf area bounded on the northeast, north, and northwest by the State of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida and extending to the seaward boundary with Mexico and Cuba in the area formerly named as the Gulf of Mexico.”

That's not the Gulf of Mexico, that's the continental shelf. Totally different areas.

I also heard today that fox turned off the ticker that runs on the bottom of the screen sharing the stock market updates. I can't stand watching fox. 1 of the creators of a live I watch and interact with, watches it, saying she watches it so we don't have to...lol I can't stand the lying. I just can't do it. It's a shame they refuse to accept that fox isn't a news organization. It's an entertainment channel with actors. They're paid actors. No journalists.

I see a lot of people misconstruing my comment and saying that there wasn't violence because of the low amount of Maga counter protests or ignoring them when they showed up. My point is that the people who always bring violence to protest are the police. Right now they're not instigating but they will if the protests get bigger and more sustained. What will you all do when that happens? Because contrary to popular belief and what the media shows, it's always the police who start the violence not protesters.

You are absolutely correct. Today is June 11, 2025, and, your comment was written on April7, 2025. Look at what is happening in LA now. Trump himself escalated the violence. Not everywhere in LA has violence, but, where there is violence the police have started it. They are shooting reporters with rubber bullets out of nowhere. They have shot peaceful protesters in the head who were hiding behind signs, and, not providing that protester with medical attention. They wrapped her head with an axe bandage and that is all. When the protesters demanded they call an ambulance for her the officer refused and said that there are no ambulances to be had and it was their fault it happened. They did nothing to the instigate the violence from the officers. There have been 2 incidents that I have seen videos of where officer on horseback literally, and purposefully trample people with their horse, and, when the person is down they back the horse back over the person, and, again refuse to get medical treatment to the person. They are arresting reporters for being at the protest and tell them if they return there will be charges against them.

Small town in FL here, we had a few MAGA people drive by and yell and flip us off, but honeslty a majority of the cars driving by were honking and waving in support. Even truckers and motorcycle packs honked and waved in support. I was vary pleasantly surprised.

Same in Vegas from what I hear from friends who were out there. I’m physically disabled. My husband had a work emergency. So I couldn’t be out there myself. I really wanted to though. We would have been if a burst pipe hadn’t popped up. He’s the maintenance supervisor where we live, and, he was a journeyman plumber for over 20 years. My protests take place daily on the phone and email. Calling as many Senators and Reps as I can in a day. When the operator at the switchboard tells me I can’t speak to what ever MAGA member because I am not their constituent, I rind them that once they get into office they work for ALL American people, not just those who vote for them. And I remind the staff member I get a hold of that too.

Hmmm - small towns/small minds? Here in KS, there isn't reliable broadband in about the whole 2/3 of the westerly state, only Fox as far as internet and other systems. It wouldn't surprise me if that isn't true over much of the country withiin the Red states. I have some measure of compassion for those people with limited and inaccurate info, as well as for their church choices. I also doubt the levels of education involved...not to be offensive in any way, just sorrowful.

Fox news grabbed my sister many, many years ago with their fun, energetic morning weather. It was a slow brainwashing of those that just stayed for the news before or after the weather report. They didn't need another news source and never realized the news could be different elsewhere. Now I can't get her to turn it off. I don't think even the morning people have retained a lightness to them over the years.

I listened to a news segment that said that Trump tarrif motivations is primarily a manipulative tool (not necessarily to actually implement). Tarrifs are used by trump to get American businesses to bow to him and beg him to remove them in trade for allegiance to him(trump). In other words Trump never intended to act on the tarrifs just use as a tool to get what he really wants: allegiance to him.

Today I cancelled my subscription to The NY Times the last mainstream media I had. And one I have had for over 50 years. I have been increasingly disappointed in their coverage of Trump 2.0. but relegating coverage of the largest civilian protest since Vietnam to page 18 was the final straw. In the guise of journalistic fairness the Times continues to treat Trump as a sentient being, analyzing every non-sequitor as if it were Holy Writ—looking for a hidden meaning when there is merely ramblings of a demented child. Refusing to shout out what has been clear since 2016–that the emperor has no clothes and is likely suffering from senility. The current Times editorial staff would think fair journalism required looking for meaning in

the behavior of a rabid dog. Had the present Times editors received a copy of Hitler’s Final Solution they would have patted themselves on the back for the fairness of their analysis after they carefully pointed out the pros and cons of annihilating 6 million humans. They have become spineless cowards and I refuse to continue to subsidize them. Perhaps if enough people cancelled, the Times might go the way of the WaPo and sink into irrelevance. Worth a try and would save some trees in the bargain.
