UPDATE: RFK Jr. has not banned pharma ads. That was an error on my part based on a tweet that has since not been verified.

Please disregard.

I didn't think there was any way they would ban the pharma ads, networks make far too much money from them. Maybe someone greased his palm so they could continue, just a thought.

Darn! I was actually ready for that one. Imagine how drug prices would go down if there weren't endless 90 second ads with paid actors singing and dancing to try to get us to get our doctors to prescribe some drug that's so expensive our insurance companies won't even allow us to take it. Get rid of the damn ads!!

Ban them yourself (mute button.) He (RFKJ) is in office from the effort to thwart reality from one particular network. I even say let that network continue but his boss is trying his best to determine some networks are unworthy to exist. Please don't fall into frailty. It's not that bad to endure if we all individually stiffen up...in our minds and bodies.

agree with kennedy on the pharma ads on TV. I am also in agreement that we should look at food coloring dyes and what additives go into processed foods that may be linked to cancers in the younger generation. hate his take on life saving vaccines though.

Pharma uses those ads to control the news companies by becoming their primary source of funding. This is why you rarely see any deep dives into their criminality anymore: none of the media companies are willing to bite the hand that feeds them.

When money speaks, the truth is silent.

We used to get studies like this reported on:

PMJ Study: "Pfizer has been a "habitual offender", persistently engaging in illegal and corrupt marketing practices, bribing physicians and suppressing adverse trial results" https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2875889/

Now its crickets.

Thank your for the resource. I have ALWAYS lamented the TV and any other ads by the pharmaceutical industry. ....Physicians don't like it either. People see and listen to the miraculous benefits and come into an office practically demanding any given drug when it would be totally irresponsible for a physician to order it.

Thanks for a link to reference. I'm no 60 minute wonk but will accept this as a legitimate reference to why you might feel what you feel. Since it seems close to you, I won't pretend to make a conclusion in front of you, other than statistically, I'm glad research and studies are perpetually going on in order to quench pandemics before they take hold. Humans, under pressure likely failed people in their communication and potientially affected lives. I do fault the person(s) responsible for slow walking the negotiated settlement. I'd be curious as to whethere it ever was setttled.

It was a real investigative piece, which they no longer do because now the news is "brought to you by Pfizer": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAkQlZgnbUQ [57seconds]

Alas, the rot runs far deeper than you may suspect Kent:

Vacciines are better than life saving. They prevent viruses that lead to death. It's a bargain for health care costs.

Food coloring dyes in the 80s were looked at. You're probably are too young to realize it, but it affected many children and made their hyperactivity evident. The blue dyed, the red dyes in tomato sauces,,popsicles, jello ,candy, the yellow dyese & in pickles. the blue & ted dyes, in juices, koolaid drinks . The whole thing look it up They tell you not to use these things because they affect children. This affected my second son so badly, the MD had to put him on Ritalin to calm him down. Why don't you do yourself a favor and research this yourself. It would be a good thing for you to learn if you have any children what not to give them.

I just woke up to very chilly news that this administration is trying to sub shut down law firms that have sued his previous administration in the past!!

He is going after law firms is nothing short of tyranny ! If we don’t have lawyers to defend our democracy and to question the administration and take them to court… I’m sorry, but all is lost.

What can be done?

YES, They are a #1 podcast, but Ben and Micheal are attorney's and they have Legal AF podcast.

There's so many lawyers and judges that are stand up for democracy.

I believe the SCOTUS will stand up to the Trump administration also.

If they don't, they will find themselves irrelevant.
