I'm guessing you're talking about the ACA. If it "broke" US citizens, why is it so popular? If only maga researched. If only maga were educated on any subject. If only 🙄

The ACA, MediCare, and MediCaid are more important than you can imagine for seniors and the disabled. That insurance has saved my life as I battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Don't blame the plans or government for the RATES private insurers charge. They make billions a year in profit for refusing to cover things they should. Hence, Luigi.

When it’s your one job to know what you’re voting for and MTG didn’t read the bill. Now she regrets voting for it. NO!!!!! You do NOT get to be on both sides. Everyone who voted for his deserves to lose their seats.

L Johnson's avatar

I would bet that MOST of them did not read the bill. They delegate that to their staff and get a summary of what is in it. Plus - they vote the way they are told to vote by dear leader. They vacated their brains long, long ago.

That is not what she said. “We have to vote (pass) the bill so the people know what’s in it”. And omg that was five years ago. Move on

INSTEAD they should have stood up to Johnson and DEMAND he give them:

• ample TIME to read the >1000 page bill,

• ample TIME to CONSIDER the implications it would have on our people, our economy, our security and our debt,

• ample TIME to DISCUSS and make necessary changes, and

• an APPROPRIATE TIME of day for a vote when everyone could arrange to be there - NOT in the middle of the night!

Exactly. MTG can just sit down!

No matter what, they have all had plenty of time to read it all now. The senate will change it, and the house gets to vote again. Let’s see how many change their vote!

And if you’re not reading the bills like MTG, you’re not doing your job. These people should be fired!

I told my husband if they were all forced to live for even a week on the average salary across the US and were not allowed to dip into their moneybif they ran low, it would be a huge eye opener for them. The billionaires cannot even fathom how the average American lives. I mean for Pete sake, the president was fascinated with the word groceries like he has never heard it before. They say we aren't feeling it at the grocery store which we all know is BS. None of them have probably ever set foot in a grocery store. These are the people making all the rules.

Thanks! to both you and Senator Warren, for highlighting the two hidden bombs in this truly ugly bill. I've just written to one Senator asking for her support on these two issues. My other Senator's web site wouldn't let me submit; oh well.

I rely on both Social Security and Medicare; I'm not sure what else, beyond writing to my congresspeople, I can do to help.
