I literally feel part of my purpose in this awful time is to be a conduit for those I meet in this demographic in my community to show (help download 5 Calls, hand a flyer with Indivisible QR, invite over to my house to make signs, fun with snacks!!, invite to go to a demonstration together, have the convo w them, give a small specific act they can take to be a part of things -- and it is working!)

A lot of moms will repost things giving examples of how they will defend their children “at all costs” (i.e., “we ride at dawn” memes, “mama bear” comments, etc.) **Now is the time to prove it!!!** I am doing most of the same things you mentioned but my mom friends are not listening! They “don’t like politics” or “don’t want to talk about it”….it’s driving me crazy! Politics will affect your life whether you like it or not! One of them has a daughter that plays a lot of sports. I told her in clear terms about them proposing that coaches can verify gender. She said, “that’s so horrible! That’s crazy!” but when I asked her to attend a town hall with me she said, “I just hate politics” and refused to go. Defend your kids, ladies!!! Defend their future! Demand better! Hold them accountable and don’t comply ahead of time! I’m in Alabama and the only people who seem to care are the ones who already cared but there weren’t enough of us to sway the election plus most of them keep saying, “nothing we do will help”. I’m so frustrated!

I am trying to tailor what I say to be super short and happy - I have had success w showing them 5 Calls on my phone and then they often will download and we go over how to use it and I hear back 'hey I used the app!,' so that has worked.
