Columbus has been growing every weekend!! I’ve also heard that Proud boys are supposed to be there too for “surveillance purposes” and plan to be “incognito.” Others are planning to show up to escalate things. Stay safe!!

It was very peaceful and VERY big… last week there was approx 500 people.. not sure if the count this week yet but I would guess all of 1200 people . All 4 corners at the lights had protesters on them and all the way down the sidewalks block.

There was about 10 fascist trumpers at one end protesting us. but there was no violence. We the people were not having it.

T

It was great to see a lot more younger people out today.

There was also some news media there…. Now if they report anything, time will tell.

I got some pix but it was kind of crowded to get good video. Will post later. Thanks!!

Jaunita Mengel, I just returned home from the Tesla protest at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. The Indivisible leaders recorded about 900 hundred people. Across the street were the Mega people only about 30. Good turnout.

The only one I see who dedicates a portion of her airtime to national protests (from across the country, large and small!) is Rachel Maddow. She gets credit for being THAT reporter! :) Thought you might want to know in case you tune in to her show (M-F @ 9p.m. Eastern Time MSNBC).

Yes! And in Ireland and Europe! I see a day when the people of the world will be in power not those whom we elect or those who conquer. The leaders will serve us because can you imagine the scope of power people will hold if we unite across the globe and support each other as allies across the globe as people. Platforms like Substack and BlueSky have introduced us to each other. And it has been good for we have so much in common and reason to collaborate whereas leaders are a singular entity and more likely to be self-serving. We should take the power away from all of them by swelling in support of those in democratic nations oppressed and under siege which is true today of Ukraine and America. We the people are not enemies but vulnerable at any time of being subjected to the whims of leadership. By joining and showing support a message will be sent to all those leaders that we stand for each other. Our goals are the same but our leaders in enough cases are a barrier to those goals.

Thank you for the moral support. We are so sorry for the attacks our government has made on your country. Most of us love Canada and are deeply ashamed of this administration which barely had enough votes despite what they say.

I remember visiting Canada and staying at a bed and breakfast off Mahone Bay when my infant came down with breathing issues. He was only five months old. We went to local clinic where the doctor unfortunately was an idiot. My son was coughing and unable to sit up at a time he was just starting to sit up on his own before getting sick. Fever and what looked to me like asthma which I recognized because I have asthma and his nose draining green. Long story short he did not develop asthma as he grew so it must have been RSV.

The doctor at the clinic was a bit of an idiot and could have cost my son his life. He observed he could not sit up and diagnosed him with a neurological condition but otherwise "it's just a cold little mother" and no need for concern but see a neurologist when you get back to the states.

The next day Sunday he worsened, and the owner of the B&B put us in touch with the local pediatrician who met us in his office coming from his home on a Sunday. He said that my nursing was the best treatment to keep him hydrated and to call if it worsened. He was sincere and definite in his offer to be available.

That night it worsened so I remember the B&B host gave us a big woolen blanket to wrap my baby in because it was November actually Thanksgiving evening or the day before and we got in rental and had to navigate dark roads to find the hospital. This was before the technology we have today.

My husband dropped me off so he could park and there was a single door with a ringer on it. I rang it and a voice answered inquiring. I remember saying "My baby is not breathing" which he was at that point during the drive that he appeared to be not breathing.

My memory follows: a nurse appeared at the door grabbed my baby and I followed. The nurse placed him in a bed. I asked can't you give him oxygen? She hesitated. I heard a voice behind me. It was a doctor. I asked where did you come from? He said directly from home. I said you were so quick. He put an oxygen mask not over my son's face but at a distance with my baby facing it on his side. He came to life kicking and smiling. Then a blood test showed he was riddled with white cells fighting an infection.

I was a new mom, and it was a validation for me that I knew that first doctor was wrong saying he had a neurological condition as evidence by his not being able to hold a sitting position at five months and clearly very sick. In fact, it was the moment I was indoctrinated in being the warrior mom we all become.

They gave my son breathing treatments. And just observed him for the morning. He seemed to recover but then symptoms of wheezing started. The doctor loaded me and my baby and him in an ambulance. My husband followed on the trip to the nearby city hospital and once there the doctor stayed with us.

We had to rule out the neurological issue, so a neurologist from the hospital showed and ruled it out. My baby was crying so much being taken from me for that exam. Then we were admitted. I stayed with him for the three days. He was stabilized and we left for the first flight home.

NO ONE CHARGED US not the clinic where the doctor mis-diagnosed my baby with a neurological condition, to the pediatrician who met us at his office on a Sunday, to the hospital. Each one of them said, "No charge. But if you meet a Canadian be kind to them." That always stayed with me and I've done so in the years that followed.

It took time and daily breathing treatments, and the antibiotics prescribed in Canada were continued. It was horrible as I relive it now. But I've loved Canada my whole life as we all do; and will never forget your kindness.

Canadians saved my child's life!!

Awesome. So, cool the speech from your new Prime Minister. Envy you for having such a grand and competent leader. We are in support of anyone who will stand up to the Trump Regime. Hope that in some future generation we can restore our relationship which was treasured by us in America, and for so many good reasons. Take care of your nation!!

Maybe we should figure out how much of each persons tax bill goes to supporting Musk projects and withholding that percentage from the taxes we pay this year. At least they would have to keep IRS workers on to untangle the mess.
