✊ Sam Altman!!! “Sam Altman didn’t just reject the offer; he did so with flair, suggesting they might consider buying Twitter instead for $9.74 billion—a cheeky nod to Musk’s previous acquisition”. He said:

“No thank you but we will buy Twitter for $9.74 billion if you want,”

To which musk responded with one word: “swindler” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hot damn, and that's coming from an authority on swindling. The Nazi Elon Musk has succeeded almost exclusively through swindling, so he knows it when he sees it.

It literally is not safe to fly. That's the reality. No major accidents in what it now -- 16 years and close to a dozen in three weeks under the new Director of Transportation who probably cannot back up a car or drive a stick shift; much less a truck as so many Americans do to earn their living crossing the country back and forth not home for weeks at a time. Incompetence leads to dead people in a job like the one he was nominated to do.

Last fall, my husband and I booked a vacation to the Bahamas where we fly out on 2/28. I really doubt my travel insurance will reimburse us if my reason for cancelling the trip is “my president is killing people who fly”

It ends with the fall of America, the end of democracy, and the tossing of our Constitution; it ends with authoritarianism and a new regime aligned with former enemies; it ends with aggression and war against our former allies; it ends with perhaps the annihilation of our species at our own hand. That is the trajectory Trump has set us on, and it is not accidental. He knows what he is doing. He is in charge and Musk Et. Al. are the puppets. There will be protests in the street at the level of Tiananmen Square given the level of cruelty we will experience when Trump pushes back against us.

I laid out the trajectory if we don't protest. And many are. I am tomorrow at Plymouth Rock. The swell of protest is so promising. I never stated all the protest in the world will not help. That is untrue. Trump is a coward and afraid of we the people. He is afraid. We are brave and not afraid. I only laid out the trajectory and those who are protesting fully understand it is time to protest and call and join in a swell of resistance. Our allies are watching, and they support us the people, not Trump. There are protests in fact in Europe growing against Trump. Those protests are a signal they support us. The tie that binds us with our allies cannot be broken and to strengthen it further we must rise in protest. We must. Do not be afraid of what is our reality. Be heartened that we can do this. He is weak and will fall but not if we cower.

Some say it’s all incomprehensible or they can’t take anymore. When I hear that I think: enslavement of Africans, pogroms, holocaust, blitz, siege of Sarajevo, napalm, etc etc etc. We must continue to comprehend the incomprehensible. We must take what we must resist.

Canadian here. Curious to know what Americans are doing as "resistance". We run our own little resistance from here as boycotts and "Buy Anything But American". I sent out a sheaf of emails on the weekend to Canadian leaders regarding the proposed US approach to Gaza. I read a lot of "but what can we do?" from Americans but other than phone calls and emails you''ve all got jobs and families to protect too. I'm sorry..

Individuals and organizations with standing have filed dozens if not scores of lawsuits to enjoin illegal and unconstitutional moves by the Trump administration and a rogue Elon Musk. A number of temporary restraining orders have been issued as well as at least two preliminary injunctions. Now Vance & Musk are floating the idea of simply ignoring judicial orders, which is a very bad thing to do in the United States and will lead us truly into constitutional crisis territory if we are not already there.

I read that Oklahoma is creating a state level DOGE, so the "virus" is spreading from federal to state. I don't know if this affects anyone but in MA we are required to convert our licenses to REAL ID format by May. If this nonsense hits us on a state level that may muck up an already inordinate issue since very few have taken care of it and the lines were already predicted to be long in May. I am a member of AAA and got it done there about a year ago and had to wait a bit so in May it will be insane at RMV and AAA. Anything to be done at the state level do post haste before the wheels come to a grinding stop. If this makes sense, then pass it on.
