They Tried to Intimidate Me. It Won’t Work.

I wasn’t sure how to share this. I debated softening it, or waiting, but I realized it’s better to just be blunt.

Recently, I came home to find a letter waiting for me — one that, at least to me, carried a clear, unsettling message. It came from an unknown sender, addressed to my home. Inside was a pamphlet with the words "Are You Ready?" printed on the cover. At first glance, it might not seem threatening. The pamphlet talked about whether or not I was "ready for Heaven."

On its own, it could be brushed off. But in context — sent anonymously to my private home address — the message was clear: it was meant to intimidate.

This is the dangerous reality of doing the work I do here in the United States. Speaking out, holding power to account, and telling the truth often carries risks. Sometimes those risks show up quietly, hidden inside an envelope.

I want you to know: I have taken steps to protect myself. I am safe. But more importantly, I am undeterred.

No matter what, I will never back down. I will always speak truth to power. I will always fight for what is right, no matter how uncomfortable or dangerous it becomes. Thank you for standing with me. Your support, your subscriptions, and your encouragement mean more to me than you could ever know.
