It’s official: the Trump inauguration will be the billionaire boys club. Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos will all be attending the inauguration on January 20th, AND they will be seated near the President-elect. Their inauguration invitations have come after each one of them have donated a significant sum of money to Donald Trump or his inaugural committee.

Bezos attending the inauguration is most interesting. I previously reported that the Washington Post has seen its daily viewership tank over the past several years. In fact, just this year the average daily viewership is at 3 million. Just a few years ago, that number was more than 20 million. When billionaires control journalism, it leads to inaccurate and skewed reporting. It happened with Fox News. It is happening now with the Washington Post and others.

With that, here are several stories that you may have missed from today:

• Mike Johnson has ordered all flags at the Capitol be flown at FULL STAFF during the inauguration on January 20th, abandoning the half-staff policy for President Carter's death.

• Michelle Obama will SKIP Trump's inauguration.

• Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg are all going to attend the Trump inauguration.

• Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has ordered flags be flown at full-staff, defying President Carter.

• The Pete Hegseth hearing begun. Hegseth has refused to answer questions concerning whether the U.S. should abide by the Geneva Conventions, whether he would resign from office if he drinks on the job, and whether he would submit to an “expanded FBI background check.”

• California Republicans have come out in support of conditioning disaster aid. Democrats have not.

• Mediators are now reporting that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel are in their final stages.
