Since taking office in January, Donald Trump’s administration has faced numerous legal challenges, with federal judges stepping in to block several of the administration’s most controversial decisions. By holding the Trump administration accountable, the judiciary helped preserve democratic principles, protect individual rights, and maintain the system of checks and balances that is foundational to the U.S. government. Without judicial oversight, unchecked executive actions could have led to significant violations of civil rights and liberties.
