Today marks 100 days since Donald Trump returned to the White House—and I have a message for you that can’t wait.
Journalistic independence is dying in America. And unless we act now, we may not be able to bring it back.
If you're reading this and you care about truth, please consider subscribing. Independent journalism is hanging by a thread. The only thing keeping this work alive is readers like you. No corporate backing. No advertiser constraints. Just real reporting, fueled by real people.
We’re watching it happen in real time. Legacy outlets—once adversarial watchdogs—are folding under pressure. The $15 million ABC News settlement before Trump even took office wasn’t an anomaly. It was a warning. A signal of what’s to come. And now, as the administration sharpens its agenda and begins its second act, the networks are falling in line.
They’re adjusting their tone. Hedging their language. In too many cases, they’re normalizing the unacceptable.
Let’s talk specifics.
60 Minutes recently admitted that Paramount, its parent company, is now directly involved in shaping the editorial production of the show. Why? Because Paramount needs Trump's approval for an upcoming merger.
This is not just a conflict of interest. This is institutional surrender. This is what it looks like when journalism stops serving the public and starts serving power.
And they’re not alone. Major media companies are courting favor, placating this administration for the sake of access. It’s the quiet death of an adversarial press—one compromise at a time.
But I will not compromise.
I will not “adjust my tone.”
I will not “hedge my language.”
And I will never—ever—seek permission from power.
As an independent journalist, I’m fighting to keep journalism free, unbought, and unafraid. But I can’t do it alone.
If you believe in the kind of reporting that challenges authority rather than flatters it, that exposes rather than excuses—then I’m asking for your support.
Subscribe. Share. Speak out.
This fight isn’t about me—it’s about whether truth still has a place in American media.
Stay loud. Stay awake. Stay independent.
See you in the morning.
Thank you for all that you continue to do to bring us INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
Why does Paramount need trumps approval? That's not normal, is it? Why don't these corporations, news outlets, law firms , universities, judges, etc, stop cowtowing to this administration!!?? Don't they understand that caving to this wannabe dictator will only boost him up to continue his "games"?? I'm so frustrated. These are supposed to be intelligent people!! It's basic elementary school playground bully stuff! If you give the bully your lunch $, or your lunch or do his hw when ever he demands it, HE WILL NEVER STOP!!!🤨 AGH!! So frustrating!!!
