Taking the Leap: Why I Made the Decision This Week to Pursue Full-Time Journalism and What You Can Expect Moving Forward
It's a slow news day, so I will have a morning update in your inbox at 9:30 AM tomorrow morning!
This week I made one of the most important decisions of my career thus far: after much thought, reflection, and careful consideration, I decided to pursue journalism full-time. I took the leap, and I can confidently say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. For a long time, I’ve been passionate about sharing the truth, providing clear analysis, and challenging the narratives that often go unquestioned by mainstream media. Now, I’m dedicating myself fully to the pursuit of independent journalism, and I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead.
This wasn’t an easy decision. The leap into full-time journalism is both thrilling and daunting, but I know it’s the right path for me. It’s a path that allows me to put everything I believe in—honesty, transparency, and holding the powerful accountable—into my work. It’s a path that lets me be my own boss, write what I believe is right, and offer perspectives that matter without the constraints of corporate or political interests.
But the truth is, I’m only able to make this career shift because of your support. This Substack, along with the support of my growing community, is the reason I can confidently pursue journalism as a full-time job. Paid subscribers help provide the stability I need to deliver timely, fact-based news to you. If you want to support my work and help me continue this journey, becoming a paid subscriber today is the best way to do so. Simply click the button below to subscribe:
So, what can you expect moving forward as either a free or paid subscriber? First and foremost, I want to reassure you that no matter your subscription level, my content will remain accessible. One of the biggest frustrations I had growing up was encountering paywalls for news that should be available to everyone. That’s why I’m committed to ensuring that no article I write will ever be behind a paywall.
For those who decide to support me by becoming paid subscribers, you’ll receive access to in-depth analysis, exclusive content, and a direct line to me for feedback and suggestions. Your support is vital in helping me do this full-time, allowing me to dive deeper into the stories that matter, to report on them from every angle, and to give you a comprehensive, nuanced perspective that you won’t always find in mainstream media. Your subscriptions make this possible—and that means more to me than I can express. In addition, you will get access to exclusive Q&As and lives, with our next one scheduled for tomorrow at 9 PM EST!
Free Subscribers:
You will get access to two daily news rundowns, one in the morning and one in the evening. The morning rundown will be released by 10:00 AM EST on the weekdays and by noon on the weekends. The evening rundown will be released by 5:30 PM EST on the weekdays and by 6:30 PM EST on thew weekends.
These rundowns will be in both video and text form. Traditionally, they will be full video updates with a bullet point list of the news I cover. If I am traveling, like I am today, the video updates will likely be text-only.
Paid Subscribers:
You will get access to all of the perks of a free subscriber, but you will also get special access to paid-subscriber only lives with me. The goal will be to host at least one paid-subscriber live per week where I chat with you and answer any questions you have. The first paid subscriber live will be tomorrow, February 17th, at 9:00 PM EST.
You will get access to the exclusive Parnas Perspective thread where you can post and build community with other paid subscribers.
You will get access to exclusive paid subscriber only posts that will come out several times per week. These will not just be news based. I will also be providing my legal analysis on critical topics and my personal analysis of the craziness in the world, from a Gen Z lens.
This shift to full-time journalism is not just a career move for me, it’s a passion that I’ve been working towards for years. Every day I wake up excited to share the truth with you, to dig into the stories that often go underreported, and to challenge the narratives that we’re fed. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to do this, and it’s all possible because of your belief in the work I do. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I’m so excited to continue growing, reporting, and engaging with all of you as we continue to navigate the ever-changing media landscape together.
See you in the next update!
