With that, here is all the news you missed from overnight:

  • Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment against Federal court Judge John Bates, an appointee of President George W. Bush. Ogles argues that Bates should be impeached because of his rulings against Elon Musk and DOGE in recent weeks. Elon Musk endorsed this impeachment effort on his Twitter account.

  • Florida Congressman Cory Mills is under investigation for allegedly assaulting a woman in Washington, D.C. Washington, D.C. authorities have asked the United States Attorney to issue an arrest warrant against Mills. The United States Attorney declined to do so. This is the same United States Attorney who just yesterday claimed to be Trump’s personal attorney.

  • Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro secured a victory against the Trump Administration, convincing the Administration to unfreeze more than $2 billion in federal funding for Pennsylvania residents.

  • There is trouble brewing for the Republican Party in Florida as Donald Trump has endorsed Congressman Byron Donalds to be the next Governor of Florida, while Ron DeSantis has refused to make a similar endorsement. Instead, DeSantis is subtly pushing his wife to run for Governor instead. That will set up a fight between DeSantis and Trump.

  • Michigan State Representative Joshua Schriver plans to propose a resolution asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse its ruling on same-sex marriage.

  • British Prime Minister Keir Starmer intends to make significant cuts to the international aid budget to fund increased defense spending, according to sources.

  • Defense Secretary Hegseth will visit Guantanamo Bay today, where tent camps for migrants are no longer being used due to their horrific conditions.

  • Medicare spending on diabetes drugs has more than quadrupled over five years and could hit $102 billion next year, according to Axios.

See you in the evening.
