Reporting Nonstop Caught Up to Me

From the very beginning, I promised you honesty. No polish, no performance — just the truth, even when it’s hard. And tonight, I want to share something real with you. One of the most vulnerable thing I’ve written here.

But before I get into it, let me quickly say something I’ve been meaning to explain for a while — about the subscription asks.

For the past four months, I’ve been reporting nonstop. And in recent days, I’ve been facing some personal family challenges that have taken a toll on my mental health.

Some of you have noticed. Maybe I haven’t looked quite as engaged, or sounded as energized. That’s not your imagination. I’ve felt it too.

So tonight, I’m taking a breath. Just a night off. Not because I’m giving up — far from it — but because I need to. And I know that a little space tonight will mean better, sharper, more meaningful coverage tomorrow.
