No TikTok Ban Decision (Yet)
I am continuing to do this work. As soon as I know, you will know.
The United States Supreme Court just released its opinions for the day, and the TikTok ban decision was not one of them. Is that surprising? Yes. Right now, there are no other opinion days on the calendar. To me, this is good news, however, and may signal that the Court could issue an Administrative Stay or Temporary Injunction.
In any event, no matter what happens at the Court, there is still hope for TikTok. TikTok’s last chance will be receiving a 90-day extension from either President Biden or Donald Trump when he is sworn in on the 20th. Trump said he would save TikTok, well, now is his chance.
As an independent journalist who started on TikTok, I wanted to take a minute to talk about what that platform meant to me. TikTok gave me the ability to quit my 9-5 legal job to start educating a wider audience. And now, one of my primary sources of income could be gone in just four days. Just because TikTok may be gone, does not mean I am going to stop my work. In 2022, I opened a TikTok account to provide accurate, timely news updates about my family in Ukraine, feeling legacy media was not doing enough. Since then, I have continued providing timely, accurate coverage of current events, domestic and international, on all of my social media platforms. As a result, my TikTok has now gained more than 1.6 million followers, and I have more than 2 million followers across all my platforms.
I do this work because there aren’t enough young people in media. Legacy media has failed young Americans, and Americans generally, by not elevating young voices, while simultaneously elevating opinionated and biased talking heads to deliver the “news.” It’s not right, and I am working to try to change that.
In other news, here are some stories you missed overnight:
Elon Musk and Donald Trump are not just shaking up at Mar a Lago, but apparently, Musk will be getting office space in the White House.
The South Korean President has officially been arrested by authorities as part of their martial law investigation, despite evading capture for several weeks.
The crafts store Joann is on the brink of filing for bankruptcy.
Hamas and Israel have reached a ceasefire deal “in principle” although final details are still being worked out.
Pete Hegseth is on track to be confirmed by the United States Senate next week following his confirmation hearing yesterday.
Today, additional Trump nominees will have their confirmation hearings including Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, and others.
Over the next four years and beyond, I will use this SubStack to share with you all accurate, timely news, while also sharing my thoughts on the general media landscape in our nation.
We have a lot of work to do, and I look forward to helping lead this effort. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber by clicking the button below to support my continued work:
Thank you,

I can’t believe Pete is on track. What is wrong with the US 😩
Chaos is what they want and chaos is what they’re going to get and interestingly enough the MAGA is going to implode on itself. We need to be vigilant and ready to step in and take back our government when this happens.
