Trump is horrible enough to get SCOTUS to allow his own people to starve; and it’s everyone else’s fault? Of COURSE that’s how he feels.

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

SCOTUS, and I use that title loosely, initiated this POS being able to even run for office with 33 felonious convictions! Now this…how do we, as voters get their asses off the bench?!

Roger Wiesmeyer's avatar

We can't initiate impeachment hearings that would amount to anything. We can(if we win back the senate) imcrease the number of justices from 9 to 13 (reflecting the number of districts). And given the democratic majority and mood of the electorate, not allow corporate, racist toadys onto the bench.

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

Well, let’s hope for the best. I never knew that I would grasp onto the word ‘HOPE’ as I do now! My expectations are set high regardless of how this situation looks to the naked eye…now my Faith, is in a Higher Power.

Jamie Bond's avatar

I like the image of Dump's messed up hand with the word: HOPE superimposed

across it in the style of the

image of Obama HOPE murals

I would luv it if someone could draw it up and share!

Remove Trump, same as SCOTUS, who are the cause of all political damaged.

RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

ABSOLUTELY! The release of the Epstein files are key to so many unlocked questions. What has affected me the most was the suicide of Virginia Giuffre. For a person to survive such horrific circumstances and still ‘THEY’ continue to conceal truths that may possibly prevent another loss of life in the same manner! I cannot think of a word that describes the anger, and vile disgust that I feel…

Let’s not be hasty to believe what Trump says. Don’t listen to what he says but watch what he actually DOES.

I don’t believe for a nanosecond’s second that Trump or this administration is on the side of the working man or woman. His statement may have been for the cameras (Fox News) or his dementia may be getting the best of him and he may yet walk back everything he said.

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

I don’t think any of our comments implied that we believe anything that trump says. What he does is also just as incredible (to believe).

Shauna Butler's avatar

The Supreme Court can be impeached, following the same process as for other civil officers.

The House of Representatives must vote to impeach a justice, and if they do, the Senate then holds a trial.

A justice can only be removed from office upon conviction by the Senate.

So once Democrats have back the House and Senate- it can be no holds barred.

The Constitution states that Supreme Court justices must hold their offices during "good Behaviour," which is the standard for removal through impeachment.

The articles of impeachment have historically cited "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" as the grounds for removal. The precise meaning of "high Crimes and Misdemeanors" is subject to interpretation, but it is generally understood to include a wide range of serious misconduct, such as perjury or corruption

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

Shauna! Thank you! I will definitely pass this vital information on to the various organizations that I’m a part of…seeking justice in all of this chaos!

The recession among us is the worst kind. While the stock market soars because of someone buying up all the debt the top 10% are making more money than ever. The bad part is that the currency or dollar is worthless. Compound a dollar having no purchasing power with run away inflation and we have stagflation. The government knows this.

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

You are definitely hitting the head of that nail with a swinging hammer! TY!

Eric Glover's avatar

Yep, and he's got Barbie Bondi trying to get the convictions removed from his record. That calls for an extra bag of popcorn in itself!

Yes! I stand corrected. Thanks Sis!

I’m Not good at digital stuff

Wish I knew how to share this with Rep. MTG of GA

If you listen to her message these days, she may call herself a Republican, but she’s fighting for Democratic values of her constituents

Gflded Kim's avatar

She’s just pissed Trump said no to her wanting to run for senate.

Peter Tey's avatar

Stupid autocorrect __it's OSSOFF

I knew who you meant. No biggie. She’d be crushed. Such a POS.

I'm with you girl, my brain is working overtime at 62 just to keep up with tech these days.

Peter Tey's avatar

She wants to run against Ossify

Skitealwedrop's avatar

Ossify is a good one. I'm sure he's been called worse.

Peter Tey's avatar

I am 87, and definitely running against OSSIFY and MUMMIFY __!!

But she is more shrewd than I thought she was capable of

Amanda Zacchi's avatar

It is hard pho trust many people these days.

Christine Ford's avatar

No, MTG has not changed her spots. She is a tRump lover and has undertaking the round of TV appearance because tRump wouldn't support her desire to run for Senate. She could have not voted for the Big Beautiful Bill. Read Jasmine Crockett's take on MTG. She's right on

Roberta Sage-McMillin's avatar

I wouldn’t count on her having experienced an epiphany. She is fighting to remain relevant and sees the writing on the wall regarding the future of the party of tRump. She has calculated and strategized. She is still that piece of poison that stalked and harassed then 18 year old David Hogg after he survived the Parkland school shooting.

Sharon's avatar

True, but she’s saying things we need Republicans to hear and they listen to her.

She wants Epstein files open, etc.

So feed her facts from people we trust like Aaron Parnas. Who knows, the facts may begin to help her grow democratic roots. 🙏🥰🙏

Roberta Sage-McMillin's avatar

I do agree.Sometimes it is needful to dial down the outrage and approach more deliberately. You are right.

Roberta Sage-McMillin's avatar

Hate to see her normalized. She is a sewer rat.Listen to her words and observe her actions when she is not trying to cozy up.What does she say and do when she is in neutral not playing to the new found awe struck audience.

Shauna Butler's avatar

MTG is really good at acting and playing victim. She was on the View the other day agreeing with those women and saying how awful Mike Johnson is (and I agree, Moses Mike is disgraceful) but the following day she’s right back on Twitter bashing the democrats again. She’s just another example of someone who wants to play both sides of the fence for votes.

JP4M's avatar

Sharon, can you copy and paste Aaron’s narrative, or whatever you want to share with her, and the link or site into a contact page on her own site? I expect you would find her site online, and there should be a place to contact her. Then you could paste the two items into that page. I have not tried that, but it seems that it might work.

Sharon's avatar

Probably won’t try that, but I call and leave her voicemail messages. Started last week with suggestion to open government, and extend tax credits for one year while a bipartisan committee fixes our health care system so it works for our people and doesn’t bankrupt them.

This week I’ll introduce her to Aaron Parnas and Heather Cox Richardson.

Helga Fellay's avatar

If SCOTUS were a really supreme Supreme Court, instead of a Supine Court, that would not be happening. But Supreme Courts have until now only dealt with elected presidents, never with kings or emperors. America is no longer a functioning republic.

Donna Kirkpatrick's avatar

Excellent analogy! Made me smile.

Carie's avatar

yeah, and then he mentions universal healthcare. if that's not incoming dementia (I don't know what it's called), I don't know what is!

Old Reprobate's avatar

Eliminating the ACA and not going forward to government provided Universal Health Care by sending money directly to the public is not a step towards Universal Health Care for two reasons. The first is his and the Heritage Foundations scheme to then cut off the amounts sent to the public because that's a dirrect contradiction to their Project 2025 Agenda. Two, sending that money to a population ravaged by low wages and corporate induced inflation will only result in it being used to feed, house, and cloth them. Realistically it's another DJT scam. The Democrats in Congress need to hold their ground of no concessions on Trump's BBB, and continue on the course of dismantling it. Universal Health Care is the objective if the Democrats in Congress truly are interested as a whole in the care and happiness of we humans, and not our destruction. The ACA doesn't come close to the adequate health care this government should be providing to the public. It was meant as a gradual lead-in towards Universal Health Care, or at least that was the propaganda at the time from congressional Democrats. Aside from that their are far too many other issues in the BBB that are counter to the general welfare of the majority of our population, and we can start with another taxcut for the wealthest and their business interest. During the FDR New Deal era taxes on the wealthest went as high as 94% on all wealth, and none of them went broke. In fact they started buying up every reduced stock on the market, coming out over the years to follow, wealthier than they were after WWll. If Democrats and Republicans had the will and interest in the care and happiness of all their constituents they'd raise taxes on the wealthiest into the 70%’s. We however have in this 21st century, a two party corporate duopoly system of government, where the American Laborforce is secondary to bringing the nations entire wealth to the top of the wealth hierarchy. It's time over the next three years to clean our house of government out of anyone who takes Wall Street investors and corporate ownership money into their campaign financing. Replace them with Progressive Public Servants with the acknowledgement of our Constitutions Preambles edicts for governments solemn responsibilities to “We The People….

Here’s an idea… to help participate in the boycott and feed the hungry, why not make a donation in honor of the person you are buying the “gift” for, and let them know that the donation made in their name will feed people who are hungry? Win win.. presents that feed people

Pretty much everything this regime does infuriates me, but the kindly treatment of Maxwell (& failure to release Epstein files) tops the list. It’s so indicative of MAGA corruption & society’s tolerance for crimes against vulnerable people.

SMB's avatar

Well said: “Society’s TOLERANCE for Crimes against VULNERABLE People”

Roberta Sage-McMillin's avatar

Yes.They target the most vulnerable and preyed upon .As they have with immigrants and trans individuals, the homeless.Constant repetitious accusations blaming them for the worst problems or crimes in society ,though they hold the least power.

Nyxie Smith's avatar

I heard that he's probably trying to starve ppl out so they give up their healthcare to open the gov back up and im inclined to believe it.

AMC's avatar

Oh, I think he wants chaos in the streets to give him excuse to arrest people & throw them in ice detention centers. I also believe he already spent the emergency fund.

Amanda's avatar

Spent it right into his bank account.

Agnes Barthel's avatar

Take control of both houses, impeach & arrest everyone of his enablers including John Fetterman.

Danita Hamilton's avatar

Fetterman loves trump he needs to go blaming democrats and he is one of them give me a fucking break I can’t stand him either

Cheryl Seybert's avatar

We need to charge them with treason

the entire group I read that treason is the only charge that includes all his cabinet including the VP & Speaker!

M McConlogue's avatar

Not possible but it sure feels good to contemplate it

Robin Collins's avatar

Trump is evil and cold as stone. He’d rather get his way like a spoiled child than to make sure Americans are fed and have healthcare. Holding snap hostage is beyond cruel!

Phyllis Zapor's avatar

I and the other 799,000+ Arizonans who voted for Adelita Grijalva deserve to have our representative doing the job we hired her to do! 💙🌵

Marc Klein's avatar

Why doesn't it bother him that Congress is on a 7 week vacation that WE are paying for? And why is the SC agreeing with Trump to let people starve? So much for America First.. Trump doesn't even know what the filibuster is. But also he's cruel and heartless and has no problem if the shutdown continues for months or years. In his mind, it's the fault of the Democrats and NOT him and hes going to let everyone know that... The buck stops with him but why take the blame when you can blame others... Stupid narcissistic piece of shit

Jameswantsthetruth's avatar

They won’t change until we make them✊

M McConlogue's avatar

We made them at Gettysburg and nothing changed, but I'm in for another try.

Jameswantsthetruth's avatar

At this rate it’s unavoidable. No one is saving us. “We are all we have.” 🤷‍♂️

Eileen Smith's avatar

What Trump doesn't understand is that they don't need him anymore. The Heritage Foundation is running the country. They will give him little wins to appease him, give him his jet and his ballroom. Heap praise on him in his meetings, but as far as running the country and making decisions, the Republican party is answering to them and their mega donors; he's not in charge. This is a complete takeover of our country, and nothing will stop them from giving power to the ultra-rich, making sure they are not taxed, and getting rid of people of color, making it illegal to counter anything they deem in their best interests. The Supreme Court is rigged in their favor, paid off lackeys. Not sure how or if we can get out of this mess, but if we do, we need to make sure this never happens again.

Peter Tey's avatar

You are 100 percent correct

They have been working for decades to change the Judicial System in their favor

It's a slow Coup

Susan Penland's avatar

This! DJT is a figure head with dementia. He is not making any decisions. It is the men behind the throne so to speak. Congress has given up all of their power. SCOTUS is in line with the Heritage foundation.

I have no idea what we can do to stop this. It’s terrifying

Anthony Rupert's avatar

Removal of Trump from office? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Danita Hamilton's avatar

Me too I just hope I’m around long enough to see him when he takes his last breath on this earth
