Did congress approve these funds? As a tax payer and a mother of a current soldier, I would rather see these funds to give them a raise! They don’t even make minimum wages.
We as a country should be ashamed of this. If we appreciate their service so much, we should take care of them better. I'm sure they have more than enough money in that billion dollar defense budget.
As a former military child, I lived in on-base housing and can vouch for the low rate of pay and the substandard living conditions. As someone who has worked with veterans, I can vouch that the aftercare of our troops also needs a lot of work. This parade is not for the troops. It’s for Donald.

It’s highly offensive to any military family who has had to scrimp and save to make ends meet for the honor of serving their nation. Talk to any military brat and they will describe the sacrifices not only of their parents, but what military children also were asked to give up. This money should be going to military families, not Trump’s ego.
I was a military brat myself and I fully agree with you. My dad, brother and nephew were all in the Marine Corps. Why not celebrate them this November 10th for the Marine Corps 250th birthday?
