I remember I bought the last 50 shares on Christmas Eve of 2018 (I had been buying the shares as the market went down all because of Trump’s trade war). Anyway the market turned around soon after and I sold off the shares a few months later and made $20,000. So, I remember how he negatively impacted the stock market and hurt farmers to the toon of $28 billion, or at least that’s what he gave them. It’s hard to fathom how little he knows about finance and economics, not to mention government and international relations. Anyway, despite my general belief that presidents really shouldn’t get credit or blame for what’s going on in a huge, complex $29 trillion economy, somehow he has managed to hurt an economy that seemed to be doing well. He just chaos. So, I think people thought he did something good with the economy during his first term and blamed Biden for inflation although that was in large part a worldwide phenomenon. They blamed Biden for gas prices getting so high a few months into his administration because, they heard on Fox that he had stopped the XL pipeline, while oil prices are set globally, the amount of oil that would have come down compared to worldwide production would have been insignificant and would have not have been available for years, and Trump and some Republicans had threatened Saudi Arabia to lower production in March of 2020 to benefit the US oil industry, which they did by cutting OPEC production by 10%, which is really why oil and gas prices rose from April of 2020 through Biden’s administration. And Trump took credit for saving the US oil industry, which he did and they made huge profits and we the American consumers paid at the gas pump. Sorry for the rant. It’s Fox so-called News. I can’t tell you how many idiots I heard going on and on about the XL pipeline.

The DOJ could have jumped on the January 6th case sooner as did the January 6th congressional hearings did. But I don’t know whether the Supreme Court was right or wrong to have overruled those decisions on keeping Trump off the ballot. I just can’t make that determination. Obviously you are right that if they had Trump probably could not have been elected.
