Minneapolis is showing us the way forward.

Kathy Fielding's avatar

Thank you Minneapolis. Thank you Aaron for showing these clips. It is dangerous temperatures here but I will go to town and do drive by of our every Saturday protests from 1 to 2 PM and support those that are able to be out and about. We will have tons of snow in our area but I have plenty of friends and relatives that will be impacted by the ICE STORM. EVERYONE STAY SAFE IN THIS ICE STORM. We still need the EPSTEIN FILES. I think it would stop the ICE storm in its tracks.

Naughty Nana DUZ's avatar

ICE storms are becoming more lethal in every city it invades. Check on your elderly neighbors and the little children. Neighborhood Watch, document the wrath of ICE Storming your city ❤️🇨🇦💪

Karen Brownfield's avatar

Thank you Canada 🇨🇦. Our southern houses weren’t built to witness frozen rain. When I lived in Illinois, this was not an issue. Cheap houses. God. Thank you for everything. Many of us know what a great ally you’ve been. Thank you. Stay strong 💪 and hold the line against our idiocy.

Michael's avatar

Please stay safe and warm. If you have one bring a battery operating warm blanket or scarf. I can't believe FEMA is telling newscaster and people who give public safety information to use a different terminology than “ICE” because they're afraid 😨 of a meme.

Just like the news caster said “Another stupid Story”. Do people really not understand when the weather is being referred to vs I.C.E. illegal activities are being inforced and not even a federal court judge can stop this. This is absolutely ridiculous. Stay strong Minneapolis. You are showing Americans what need to be done and especially peacefully. I commend you for holding back all that rage. Just remember that you have so many people behind you spiritually and are rooting for you ✨️

S. A. Linden's avatar

I have said before that their type of pathology is self-destructive. In this case, the very fact that they made a big deal of not calling it an "ice storm" is astonishingly stupid.

They're worried about a meme and by god, they got one.

Geri Guerin's avatar

Sadly, yes--I believe some MAGA are so blind to reality that the don't discern context. So, to them, a large part of the country is covered by ICE warnings. But then again, is that such a bad thing??? Overbearing ICE, rather than slick ice?

Suzie Heer's avatar

Is ICE kidnapping children to rebuild The PEDOPREZ's child trafficking ring????

Louise Purfield-Coak's avatar

Yesterday morning I saw an interview with Greg Bovino in which he claimed ICE had the best child care detention centers in the world. Really first class!! Remember all the babies snatched away from their mothers at the border in the first Trump Term? Many are still not accounted for and returned to relatives to this day! Trump, Miller, Noam and Bovino are truly incredibly evil!!!! Meanwhile, do all of this commentary community realize how absolutely painfully frigid -5°F.is like to even stay out in for more than 10 minutes!? Trump is just lucky that the general strike happened in January, otherwise the numbers could have been tripled in the streets! I get awesome chills just watching the mass of people braving life threatening temperatures to be out there in Minneapolis yesterday. Here in S.E.Michigan this morning at 5:30 AM Minneapolis is a couple of horticultural zones north of me! ,it was-12° F.

Rachel's avatar

Aaron they just murdered someone in Minneapolis again. Videos on reddit. A man in front of a donut shop.

Fran Phillips's avatar

It is absolutely horrifying to watch that on video. They (about 6 ICE AGENTS) had the man on the ground and then one of them shot him for no reason! I can't wait to hear how they justify this murder.

DLNC's avatar
Jan 25Edited

They pepper sprayed him first, because he was trying to help a woman who an ICE agent violently shoved onto the ground. He was pepper sprayed, then thrown to ground and gang-jumped by 6+ agents. While being beaten and pistol whipped, one agent found the handgun that Alex Pretti was LEGALLY carrying, STILL IN THE HOLSTER. That agent removes the gun and runs away. It is only after that point, when Alex Pretti had been bear maced, disarmed, and beaten by multiple agents, that they emptied an entire clip into him. While he was helpless and defenseless and blinded on the ground. Immediately after the execution, one of the agents whooped then CLAPPED.

Noem and her trolls are of course saying the brave patriot Gestapo had been “approached by a professional liberal agitator/domestic terrorist brandishing a loaded 9mm handgun AT the ICE agents, so they fired defensive rounds at him to save their own lives.” Lying through her caps and all that fresh filler and Botox and it makes me want to scream until my throat bleeds. They’re saying the fact that he had a gun, which he was carrying LEGALLY, is why he was murdered. And the “Don’t tread on me” assclowns are all eerily quiet right now.

Noem has GOT to be impeached and tried, and the Senate needs to stop this shit this time. The government cannot be allowed to carry on, business as usual, while we’re being executed in the streets every week. Call your Senators and tell them SHUT IT DOWN. HOLD THE LINE. NO MORE MASKS. NO MORE MURDERERS. NO MORE EXCUSES.

Yes, doing this nationwide could prompt some resignations. We need to clean the country before our 250th on the 4th.

All Blue States Take Note! BRAVO!! BRAVO!!

Kristopher Giesing's avatar

Red states too! There are people of conscience in every part of the US, even if their voices tend to get minimized or drowned out.

Sher''s avatar

Yes..that's true..I just don't know if they could get a red state to do a strike.

Michelle, Author's avatar

Yes!! Kudos to those businesses!!

S. A. Linden's avatar

There is so much community in those northern states, because they have to support one another in the winter. I love the drone shots, because it really shows the magnificence of community power.

Suck it, Bovino you Nazi.

Brianna Amore's avatar

I am genuinely shocked that those drones were able to operate in such low temperatures. And flying over crowds is NOT recommended if there is any chance of failure.

Source: an FAA Part 107 licensed drone operator.

S. A. Linden's avatar

That's interesting. Thanks.

Michelle Nee's avatar

Unless they were flying a Category 1 drone which weighs .55lbs or less, contains prop guards covering entirety of props so no lacerations and has Remote ID

Or

Cat 2 drones weighing more than .55lbs must have an FAA waiver, MOC, DOC with label, and Remote ID

Or

Cat 4 drones with an airworthiness certificate under part 21 can operate over open air assemblies (crowds) “so long as the operating limitations specified in the approved flight Manuel or as otherwise specified by the Administrator, do not prohibit operations over people.” Must also have prop guards and label authenticating Cat 4 and owner must have maintenance records.

I believe the DJI Neo fits Cat 1 so other than needing a Remote ID it should be good to go. DJI Flip also can fly over people.

Time for a national strike

Michelle, Author's avatar

Yes, how can we get a national strike going?

Letitia's avatar

Google events happening in your local area. Find organizations who are making a difference both locally and nationally.

Of course, YOU can organize it. There are resources online and you may find others on social media. Call and/or text your congressional representatives.

I will participate wherever I can.

As a prerequisite for conducting effective labor actions for as long as it takes, we need to get our neighborhoods organized for mutual aid, resistance and survival so that we have the essential underlying neighborhood infrastructure in place to eventually bring an end to this lawless, unconstitutional, fascist takeover of our country.

This is a long term project and it's up to us, in each of our neighborhoods, to do our part.

My neighborhood has been meeting weekly for 11 months - same time, same place - every week to organize mutual aid, resistance and for our collective survival (which is not to be taken for granted - they want to rid the country of a substantial percentage of us, by any and all means necessary). Their end goals are grim AF.

An example...we have organized expanded personal and community gardens and greenhouses so that our neighborhood can continue to have sufficient healthy food when the food shortages that farmers are already saying are inevitable start being weaponized, using food scarcity and hunger as instruments of control against blue cities and states.

They had zero qualms about doing that to SNAP recipients, many of whom are in their own base.

They'll even more blithely wield food scarcity and hunger against blue cities and states to try to disrupt, break and derail resistance.

We prefer to be prepared to survive that and not to be surprised and unprepared when that happens.

We are also organized as a community to make it possible for as many of us as possible to participate in rolling general labor actions, like regional and industry-specific strikes and work slowdowns so that we all remain housed, fed and as ok as possible during the rolling labor actions over the next few years that will be required of us to end this.

Those who cannot strike and still have their families survive can still be part of the support network for those who can feasibly strike in a community. That requires ongoing hyper-local organization, week-in and week-out, over the coming years.

Historically, general strikes can be effective even when as few as 10% of a region or industry participates, supported in striking by those who, themselves, may not be able to actively strike.

We assume and are preparing for it to be necessary to actively resist and therefore to need organized mutual aid for years. We all should assume that and organize for that. Now.

The best, most effective resistance we can do is organizing our neighbors and neighborhoods.

Any amount of community organizing is better than none.

We can all start wherever we are, with whatever we have, and move forward from there. Baby steps are still steps.

No one is going to save us from this besides ourselves at the grassroots, community-by-community level.

Suzanne Chowla's avatar

It started so small.

Just one neighbor posting in a local group in February 2025 asking if anybody wanted to meet up in the bleachers during open rec hours at the local rec center to talk about local organizing. A few of us did want to meet up.

And then we kept meeting every week at the same time. And it grew.

It's honestly a huge comfort to know the neighborhood is connected and in the ongoing process of getting and staying organized.

We have an idea of who has what needs and who has what resources and skills they are contributing. We know how to communicate with each other. We're learning from each other.

Yesterday, I saw a post by Dr. Tressie McMillan Cottom and she said, “people are exhausted because they are doing too little.”

I immediately knew what she means, based on how energizing our neighborhood organizing is. I am less exhausted by this regime precisely because my little community is doing something - every week.

Michelle Boydston's avatar

That is absolutely wonderful! You’re very blessed to have such wonderful people in your community group!! Thank you for sharing this!

Michelle Boydston's avatar

Can’t do that in my neighborhood I’m surrounded by djt loyalists and this town and county and they are doing everything they can to cause me harm. Even both Leo’s etc. Not kidding! I’m hoping I can get back home but being in 7 organ failures and other life threatening disabilities I cannot with the current housing crisis.

@Aaron Parnas I’ve tried for 3 days to get my Walmart order that the local store has delayed it so my pets and I have no food and no water whatsoever and all pickup and delivery is booked for the next three days and my order has never been delivered from the 21st!! Walmart.com has been trying to help me but nothing seems to be working and the store is refusing to help me get my order I placed 3 days ago and my fur kids and I have no water or ice or anything to eat or drink. This town has people who were at J6 and they don’t even know me but they sure don’t like me. I don’t know what we’re going to do because I have no family here and no friends here either. Smh it’s just a nightmare they have done to me once again in this tiny rural red hot djt town in Missouri.

Can we go back to when we called things by their names? For example like this storm coming up, it's an ice storm, and the people dressing up as wanna be police officers should be called what they are Nazi because that's what and who they are.

dfieldman's avatar

...especially BOVINE aka Bovino.

"When a domestic agency dresses for war, it risks acting as if it is at war, even with the public. Clothing alone does not determine conduct, but it can help shape a worldview in which violent confrontation is more likely."

Brianna Amore's avatar

ICE agents used to be dressed like regular Federal officers: a black jacket, pants, with a badge on a lanyard around their necks.

Now they're dressed in full battle rattle like they're about to invade Fallujah.

Elaine Lueras's avatar

It has little to do with deporting “dangerous immigrants” . Obama and Biden ICE agents and policies were far more effective with a much lower budget and without the violence. It's all about brutality and intimidation and recruiting and building a private Gestapo for the senile 🍊 Fat Boi Sewer Pig squatting in what's left of the White House.

DLNC's avatar

Exactly. The brutality and instilling fear to suppress dissent IS THE POINT

S. A. Linden's avatar

I call him "bovine" all the time too. What's your attribution for that quote, please? Really interesting...

Eileen's avatar

But it's an insult to cattle.

Schmendryck's avatar

Schturmtroopfer wanna-be's should be facing 100% real American versions of the Nuremberg trials.

Rana Favors's avatar

Bovino looks like a Nazi officer because that’s who he is. A little man who wants to feel powerful.

Gingbos's avatar

He's obviously compensating for a certain part of his male anatomy that is more then likely below average.

Risa Olds's avatar

Small hands, small feet. IYKYK

Brianna Amore's avatar

And if that coat is standard issue then why haven't we seen any other officers wearing it?

Grant Rowson's avatar

And more to the point, WHO picked it for "standard issue"??? I have never seen any armed force or police service duplicating that particular look/feel to that degree.

DLNC's avatar

Ver batim what I said! Ok Greg, then why are you *the only one* who looks like he’s cosplaying the SS, specifically? Bovino can eat shit. I can’t wait for his turn come Nuremberg 2.0.

Brianna Amore's avatar

DLNC's avatar

Protests have been erupting across the nation since Renee’s execution, and are doing so again now. No Kings Day? Hello? America cares. It’s our elected officials who don’t. They are the ones greenlighting this, or complicit by silence and pervasive inaction. THEY are the failures. Not US. But it’s US being executed in the streets. Not them.

JesstheFloridaMess's avatar

congratulations!

This is the history we need for our children

Deantha Menon's avatar

Ok wait! The schools were NOT closed as part of the strike, and neither were most of the closed businesses. I live in MN—Minneapolis suburb. It was severe weather that closed everything, especially the schools. However, the 50,000+ showing up in the protest were literally protesting in -20 to -35° windchills. THAT IS INCREDIBLE! Minnesotans ROCK strength for their neighbors. But, please be accurate about the closings.

Tracie's avatar

I heard him say that parents kept their kids home from school. You're right though, most of the schools in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Chicago, and many of the Northeast didn't have school yesterday. However, that protest was the most amazing site: what a historical even, it brought me to tears.

Michelle, Author's avatar

Me too. It was wonderful being in the march. So much love for community and each other.

Lynette Mason's avatar

It brought me to tears, too.

Deantha Menon's avatar

I heard him say schools closed. Anyhow, I am so proud of those Minnesotans literally risking their well being to protest.🥰

Michelle, Author's avatar

As an educator in MN, many of us would have marched if schools were open.

Diane Johnston's avatar

.Blizzard of 1978: Cincinnati Ohio, closed. 3 people went to work and found office closed because of storm. This is important, the three were from MN and WI!

As a Minnesotan now living in Connecticut, yes, “you are hardy folk”!!

I am so very proud of Minnesota! Thank you!

Always GOOD TROUBLE. I love that man our Northstar. Miss his presence in congress

Klautner's avatar

Our congress needs to do their job and impeach Trump.

Cheryl Snyder's avatar

Article 25 is what’s needed.. the all need to be removed!

Marsha Sipple's avatar

Article II Section 4: If the President is impeached for treason, the vice president and all civil officers shall be removed.   I believe this is a better path forward. We could impeach them all.

Klautner's avatar

Agree - they are all corrupt and unqualified.

Carol Kusel's avatar

We have been betrayed. This is far worse than Benedict Arnold.

Roger Helbig's avatar

You first need to read Article III, Section 3, Clause 1 - the definition of treason. It is very explicit and you can not easily get a conviction. Follow Minnesota's lead nationwide and demand resignations before our 250th birthday.

Carol Kusel's avatar

Article 25 would not remove them. Try Trump as a traitor. He stole boxes of classified documents from the White House in 2020- 2021.Some of those documents are still missing. They involved our Pentagon war plans. Tragic!

Roger Helbig's avatar

The 25th Amendment requires the agreement of the psycophants in the Cabinet - what we really need is resignations starting at the very top and a way to demand that they happen before our 250th birthday as a nation.

Carol Kusel's avatar

No. He should be removed as a traitor due to Jan. 6 and election interference. Then, his entire cabinet and Vice President go with him. Vance is a fascist perpetrator. He lies about our country and would probably also be a war monger. DJT promised to keep us out of wars. Ha!

Marsha Sipple's avatar

Anyone who would believe anything he promised is as delusional as he is.

Release the Trumpstein Files!

Carol Kusel's avatar

Yes. Article 2 section 4 of the Constitution. Why, that is the very document that Donald Trump and all other elected or appointed officials took an OATH to uphold!!!

LisaNRN's avatar

At least impeach Bondi, Noem, and the FBI turd. They are traitors literally by definition!
