Good evening, everyone. Tonight is one of the most important updates I have shared with you. We can now say clearly that Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an Epstein survivor, has been vindicated. Newly uncovered documents show that Andrew, formerly known as Prince Andrew, and Ghislaine Maxwell likely lied about the 2001 photograph with Giuffre. For years she was doubted and smeared. Tonight, the truth is on record.
At the same time, the Justice Department appears to be in serious turmoil, with attorneys quitting, overwhelmed, and struggling to hold together a system that is visibly cracking. These developments together underscore why accountability and survivor-centered reporting matter.
This will be my final update of the night, as I am not feeling well and need to rest. Before I sign off, I want to thank you sincerely for your support. I am proud of the work we are doing, and it is only just beginning. Our coverage has always been survivor-first, and tonight shows why that commitment matters.
I was asked today where I see myself years from now. I honestly do not know. What I do know is that, right now, this is the work I am meant to be doing. Thank you for being here. Please consider subscribing to support this work, and let’s keep building together.
Here’s the news:
Newly released Epstein-file emails seriously undermine years of denials by Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell: a 2015 draft statement shows Maxwell explicitly admitting she introduced Andrew to Virginia Giuffre in London in 2001 and that the infamous photo of Andrew with his arm around the then-17-year-old Giuffre was real, contradicting claims it was fake and Andrew’s insistence he never met her.
This is the image I am referencing:
Further documents indicating Andrew maintained warm contact with Jeffrey Epstein years after claiming to cut ties—has intensified pressure on Andrew, prompted Giuffre’s family to say her account has been vindicated, and renewed calls for criminal accountability. The statement further makes clear that Maxwell knew that Epstein abused children:
Despite that, Maxwell proceeded to lie in a deposition, under oath, later that year:
Bill Gates said he regrets ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein and denied new allegations in the Epstein files as false, while his ex-wife Melinda French Gates said his relationship with Epstein raised painful questions about their marriage, prompting calls from lawmakers including Nancy Mace for Gates to testify.
Several Los Angeles officials, including county supervisor Janice Hahn and city council members, are calling for Casey Wasserman to step down as chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics after newly released Epstein files revealed 2003 emails between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, arguing his continued leadership would distract from preparations and athletes; Wasserman said he deeply regrets the correspondence, which predated Maxwell’s crimes, denied any relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and apologized for any association while maintaining he should remain in his role.
In honor of Black History Month, I sat down with Dr. Earl Lewis from the University of Michigan where we spoke about Brown v. Board of Education and the impacts of Brown in the 70 years since the historic decision:
President Donald Trump said the fatal Minneapolis shootings by federal immigration agents led him to consider a “softer touch” on immigration enforcement while maintaining a tough stance, as he ordered the withdrawal of hundreds of agents from Minnesota amid backlash and disputes with state and city leaders.
JD Vance asked if he planned to apologize to Alex Pretti's family. His answer: For what?
A government lawyer, Julie Le, was removed from her temporary assignment to the Minnesota U.S. attorney’s office after telling a federal judge during an immigration hearing that “this job sucks,” comments made amid heavy caseloads, court-ordered compliance issues, and a broader immigration crackdown involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis.
Elizabeth Caisaguano, a 10-year-old Minnesota girl, and her mother were released after a month in Immigration and Customs Enforcement family detention in Texas, amid backlash over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, health concerns at the facility, and disputes over why the family—seeking asylum—was detained despite a parent ready to take custody.
Steve Bannon said he wants Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents stationed near polling places during the 2026 midterms, intensifying concerns from election officials that the Trump administration could intimidate voters and interfere with elections amid ongoing false claims about undocumented voting.
I caught Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent lying to Congress today. Watch this video, along with my interview with Dr. Earl Lewis from the University of Michigan:
The Supreme Court of the United States cleared the way for California to use a newly approved, Democrat-drawn congressional map in the 2026 midterms, rejecting a Republican challenge and potentially enabling Democrats to gain up to five House seats, a move championed by Gov. Gavin Newsom as a response to GOP-led redistricting in Texas.
The U.S. and Iran will hold high-level nuclear talks Friday in Oman, after shifting the venue from Turkey, as the Trump administration—led by Donald Trump—agreed to proceed despite skepticism about success and rising tensions over Iran’s protest crackdown, regional military incidents, and disputes over the scope of negotiations.
Donald Trump called Savannah Guthrie to offer support as authorities continue searching for her missing 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, pledging federal resources while investigators pursue leads in what may be an abduction near Tucson, Arizona.
Ryan Routh was sentenced to life in federal prison, plus seven additional years on a firearms charge, for attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in Florida in 2024, with the judge calling the plot “evil” and prosecutors citing his lack of remorse.
See you soon.
