In a time of relentless misinformation, where the powerful manipulate narratives to serve their own interests, the best way to resist is to arm yourself with the truth. Knowledge is power, and the only way to fight back against propaganda, deceit, and corporate-driven media agendas is to be equipped with the facts—raw, unfiltered, and unvarnished.
As an independent journalist, my only commitment is to you, the people. Unlike mainstream media outlets that prioritize ratings, advertising dollars, and political access, I am here to report the truth—the good, the bad, and the ugly—without fear or favor. The goal is not to shape your opinion but to empower you with the information you need to form your own. Consider becoming a paid subscriber to support my work:
The mainstream media claims to be a watchdog of democracy, yet time and again, it has proven itself complicit in propping up those in power. This is especially evident in its treatment of figures like Donald Trump. Take for example Politico Bureau Chief Dasha Burns who, just today on Newsmax, claimed that last Friday's Oval Office scene is an example of Trump's "art of the deal."
I’m sorry, but that statement is just plain wrong. What we saw was not the “art of the deal” it was an effort to embarrass Ukraine, embrace Russia, and alienate our ally.
While Trump attacks the press as "fake news," many corporate media outlets still pander to him because he is good for business. Outrage drives clicks, and clicks drive revenue. Instead of holding him accountable, they normalize his rhetoric, downplay his extremism, and chase sensationalism over substance. Still today, outlets frame his unconstitutional actions, his attacks on democracy, and his authoritarian tendencies as just another political story, rather than the existential threat they pose.
Resistance starts with knowledge. My role is to make sure you have the facts—whether they challenge your beliefs, make you uncomfortable, or expose hard truths. That means reporting on the corruption, the corporate interests controlling our democracy, and the systems designed to keep power in the hands of the few. It also means celebrating the stories of resistance, of those who are fighting back, of the movements demanding real change.
The truth is not always convenient, but it is necessary. Without it, we are powerless. With it, we can resist.
And that’s why I will never put news behind a paywall. Access to the truth should not depend on your ability to pay. Unlike corporate media, which prioritizes profit over the public good, my only mission is to inform. Journalism should serve the people, not the wealthy elite. Everyone deserves the facts—free, unfiltered, and unburdened by financial barriers.
If you believe in the power of independent journalism, in reporting that puts truth before profit, then stay informed, stay critical, and never stop questioning. The fight for truth is the fight for democracy itself.
And we care about you, Aaron. Knowing that you are there to give us the truth and the information is keeping me going these days. We thank you for your commitment.
Thank you. Every day I read your thoughts and feel like I have a bit more understanding of what the motherfuckers are doing out there. I’m not ashamed to say I’m afraid but I want as much info as possible. Thank you for taking your time on us.
