The whole point is that the Lake Michigan was reported on a tip line therefore warrants investigation, so the next question is, where's the investigation documentation? It's not being reported as factual. We must be reasonable where this is concerned.
It’ll never happen but: We need an independent committee comprised of apolitical legal scholars, professors & journalists to confiscate and review the files. Many of us no longer trust the DOJ, and (I’ve heard) they’re working furiously to scrub Trump’s name.

Ellie Leonard is carefully uncovering and documenting the email conversations between Epstein and others, diligently piecing together docs from the messy file dumps so they make sense.
Examples: Epstein-Bannon, Epstein-Ehud Barak, Epstein-Michael Wolff, Epstein-Jes Staley (JP Morgen) and more.
What I don’t understand is, is why some of the more mainstream Substack contributors (Meidas, Acosta, Palmeri, Couric et al) aren’t interviewing Shalev or Leonard. IMO they are totally ignoring a huge resource!
My first guess is they may have some degree of jealousy about who's got the real track record on this. They may not want to acknowledge the depth that journalists like Zev have carefully developed through long-time engagement with the facts.
My 2nd guess is they don't want to lose subscribers' attention and clicks when subscribers realize that other substacks may be better informed than they are.
There's no copyright on the Epstein story. Many want their piece of "the Epstein content pie" action (clicks) and to play up their angles on it.
What Zev said resonated with me. Meidas has become positively ruthless about gaining paid subscribers (he’s starting to sound like Trump bragging about crowd sizes), and this has become a turnoff for me. The mere thought that Cohen is sitting on essential information that may help democracy is some very nasty business indeed.
