He just needs to die already.

When he does manage to pass away. I’m sure there will be worldwide rejoicing …

Hope the SC told him "no" on the tariffs. And not one bottle of superb champagne is left on the shelf of any store in the country.

I’m sure France, being an ALLY to the American People will send a full shipment of champagne to us! 🎉

Unfortunately we will still be stuck with JD Vance and Miller.

=(

Barbara Hopper's avatar

Yes, but they have the charisma of plastic plants and will not be able to retain a large portion of his base.

trisha-lynn's avatar

I’ve been thinking (worrying) about this. Do they even need charisma or charm anymore. Or is racism and hatred enough now- for those voters.

Brenda's avatar

Racism and hatred will win , unfortunately. Until we get a liberal back in the WH.

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

won't ever happen if people choose to be too easily distracted & attached to the man-made construct of perfection

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Once upon a time? Yes. Those days are gone. Too many people are being destroyed by this sewer sodden administration. Just ask the Latino population.

One more thing, they have no allies, not a single one. And there is something called impeachment in the case of the ogre who isn't sure of his name. The filthy little Nazi can just be arrested and tried. He is not protected.

Bonnie Council's avatar

I am so damned tired of watching this abusive a-hole add a new country every day to his list of victims. He's abusing the entire world! How does one man get so many countries in his crosshairs all at once while our stupid Congress just looks the other way? This is nuts. It's not enough to have uproar all across our own country, and one state in particular. He's pissing off the whole world! The whole freaking world.

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

this is still America & people like him don't ever do actual time unless they've hurt wealthy people, the only unforgivable thing he's never done & will never do, he's crazy but, not that crazy so as to smoke all his future opportunities

Melanie's avatar

Trump charisma? I think not.

I have never understood the lie that Trump has charisma. He has always been nauseating to me. Charisma doesn’t trigger a gag reflex, does it? Everything about him is grotesque. I can’t stand his voice, his cruelty, his emptiness, his obvious corruption.

JD Vance and Miller are no better. They have none. Zero. No charisma, no depth, no humanity. But it no longer matters, because the MAGA movement doesn’t require leadership anymore. It doesn’t want intelligence, wisdom, or vision. It wants cruelty. It wants lies delivered with confidence and hate shouted loudly enough to drown out reality.

This is not politics, it’s rot. Evil, cruel, demented fascists multiply like a virus. They feed off fear, grievance, and manufactured rage. MAGA doesn’t want solutions or truth, it wants permission to be its worst self. Violence, bigotry, and open dehumanization are the point of this entire movement.

MAGAs don’t follow Trump because he’s strong, they follow him because he gives them cover. He normalizes their racism, their misogyny, their obsession with control and punishment. He is a puppet for oligarchs and power brokers who profit from chaos, and MAGAs cheer while being used because hate feels better than self-reflection.

A woman will never be allowed to lead them. Never. Their movement is built on domination and fear, and they cling to a depraved, corrupt figurehead because protecting him protects them. Trump protects them from accountability, from exposure, from confronting their own pathetic moral decay.

And above all, the MAGA base didn’t suddenly appear, they have always been here. Trump just gave them permission to slither into the open. They have always wanted to erase anyone they feel “unworthy,” whether it be people of color, LGBTQ people, religious minorities, anyone who thinks freely or refuses to submit. Their vision is not a country, it is a purge.

They disgust me. They always have. And they always will.

Robyn Boyer's avatar

it probably is enough for the hard core base but those folks on the margins, Hispanics, Youth, suburban women, other minorities, even the military have left MAGA in the dust. Right now I think the voters would elect a Dem squirrel just to stop the madness and get us quickly back to repairing the economy, our rule of law and our standing in the world. So much to be done; so little time.

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

racism & misogyny are the carrots he continually dangles in front of them when they need motivation & that fixed focus works in their favor when comes voting time so, whose fault is it when we don't keep our eyes on the prize & let ourselves be distracted? well, if we want to claim personal responsibility then, we've also got to actualize it & get our asses out in the numbers we did in 2020 which were too cig to be denied or fudged with & do it every damned time there is an election because slacking off just doesn't allow for enough repair time to address republican damages made over years & not especially with the damage becoming cumulative

Nobody likes Stephen Miller and nobody likes JD Vance except Peter Thiel, the culty, sweaty, oily devil-worshipping billionaire with delusions of grandeur. I don't think either Miller or Vance has much of a future after the smelly and diseased "Rat King" finally vacates the WH for his new digs, eternity in Hell,

At which point trump's cage of cowardly republican "pet mice" may finally find the courage to poke their quivering noses out from under their senate and house seats, sniff the air, and with no hint of dirty diaper fumes, figure it's safe to emerge. No more having to scurry about looking for hiding places whenever anyone comes into view or tries to speak to them. No more bowed heads, no more scary town halls, no more averting their eyes, pretending you didn't see them. No more excuses that they don't know anything about anything, didn't hear about it, will have to look into it. No more RUNNING AWAY.

These "quisling" Congressional republicans will no longer have any excuse (I was only following orders) to behave like outright fascists, carry on trashing their oaths of office, and failing spectacularly in their civic duty to the American people.

Yes, he does need to just go ahead and die, and I bet he will this year. Are there, oh wait, of course there are, some kind of gambling odds makers, forgive my not knowing the correct terminology on that, feverishly calculating? Not really the question I came to ask though.

What do we think will actually happen in the minutes, days, months after Trump does pass over to the land of, and your answer must include the name of that land, the most vile and disgusting as possible, when Vance assumes the presidency? I will go on record as saying things could get much worse. Sorry, John Lennon, may your memory be a blessing.

Robert Spottswood, M.A.'s avatar

Then there will be the question of the commemorative postage stamp....

Marie Sykes's avatar

Print an ugly postage stamp Like a deep green on parchment colored paper. Or use a picture of a horses ass and label it DJT!! Or use his picture and label it Hitler. I would rather not have a trump postage stamp or we could have very very small stamp half inch by a half inch. Those are special made that small!!

Judy Steiner's avatar

No one will buy those stamps. We have other choices. Plus, they would likely cost more.

Judy Steiner's avatar

Trump has no plans to leave office. He will delay or call off elections if it comes to that.

I know that there are many Americans trying to resist Trumps attempts to turn the country into a dictatorship. However there are many that are not doing anything. I see stadiums that are packed full of football fans this weekend acting as though everything is normal I'm sure there are even more glued to the TV and in sports bars. Why are so many people complacent? The country is on fire put it out!!!!!

Tammie's avatar

I understand how you feel. But to be honest for our own mental health we have to take a break from all the craziness. Trust me it's not going anywhere. I wake up everyday wondering what has he done now. But I do take break breaks from all of it.

Fred's avatar

Exactly. We need a break from all this madness. 2 days of relaxation doesn’t mean we don’t care. You can’t think

Tammie's avatar

I agree. I'm more into politics. My husband is not as active but still he is very much informed on what is going on. I make sure of that. But I do take breaks. I will not drive myself crazy over this administration. Trust me it is a 24/7 job to keep up with them

We aren’t going to pay Trump shit. I still care deeply about what’s happening to so many people around the world but a few hours away doing other things is good for all of our health. And many of us do that by watching sports. Others by doing a variety of other things. Whatever everyone does is needed break from this insanity

Cindy K's avatar

Yes I definitely take breaks when I get to the point that I just can't take it anymore and it affects my mental health. But really how much more of all the Horrors of the Trump Administration can any of us take??

Tammie's avatar

That is what this administration is trying to do is exhaust us until we just give up. They do an overload of crap. Too much for us to keep up with. Our only defense is the court system. And there are so backed up they can't get to things fast enough to stop whatever is going on at the time. And the Supreme Court seems to always bend the knee to trump. So I hope you hang in there and help us fight.

People can a. protest what's going on in their own ways; b. appreciate their day to day life, too. Just because you don't enjoy football doesn't mean others shouldn't.

Judy Steiner's avatar

Because we can't let fear disrupt our lives. Continuing with our lives is a silent protest. It doesn't mean fans have not been to protests. If we allow this to disrupt our culture, then they have already won.

Tung no's avatar

And Congress full of GOP representatives keeping their mouth shut,

Ronni's avatar

I had a friend who was so pissed off tell me but she's not going to call or write or protest because it doesn't do anything. I had to hold my tongue. That is exactly what these thugs are hoping for

DownWithTheFascistRegime's avatar

What we need is a sustained economic shutdown while still protesting in the streets and calling our reps and senators every day. With the number one message being “Release the Trump/Epstein files!” Followed by all the other important stuff, of course.

Jaclyn🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Brit's avatar

I cannot think of all of this every single minute of every single day. Nor should anybody else. I know that trump, Noem, whoever else has turned Ice into murderers and recruited thousands more of them in the space of a month. I know we're in WWlll. I know the country is on fire.

I can't sit with my head in the news all day worrying and guessing what may or may not happen. When I'm already up to date on the facts, then trump retracts them a few hours later 😑

My mental health was already in the crapper. This murderous disgusting regime cannot take the entire, ‘other’ part of life away from me. yet. I will NOT have the end of my life face←→phone exactly how they want us to. They already HAVE done that.

People are still living their lives. They still go to work. They still hang out with their friends. They still go out to eat. Because that's their life. It doesn't belong to any one person. It doesn't disappear because you want it to.

The entire country can't all do what you want them to do or feel the way you want them to 24/7.

You don't know a SINGLE thing about anyone in that stadium. That could be the only nice thing they had the entire month because they ARE out there. they're out there protesting, fighting back, getting injured every other day. Yet you accuse them ALL of being complacent. Over one football game.

Using a blanket statement is what I've lived under for 20+years. You can look like a regular person on the outside but be battling diseases, cancer on the inside.

You can look like a football fan on the outside and still be a hard core protestor fighting every other day of the year, hiding bruises under their jerseys.

Rosemary's avatar

I see the same thing. I see people going about their day acting like everything is normal. The people I work with, do not want to hear anything about it. If I start talking about what’s going on in this country, they become totally silent and make no comments whatsoever, they also didn’t bother to vote! It’s a really sad situation that people are just letting this happen and there’s so many people not speaking up. And they don’t realize how much it’s going to affect them sooner or later.

Jaclyn🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Brit's avatar

They could be maga and don't give a shit. Maybe they're too scared to talk about it all because it might effect their job?

Beth Thompson's avatar

We have been taught that the way to make changes is to go thriygh legal channels. Now that our allies are turning from us on top of the fact that our elected Congress people many of whom stand with 47 will not stand with Democrats to impeach and remove 47 and his fox circus clowns, legally we are being held hostage. We have to put our trust that Congress will do what is best for the country, but they show little signs of doing so. I lived through the sixies--the riots, Kent State, the bombings, and the upheaval. This is not the way to insure that Democracy survives. Bloodshed is never the answer, but there must be an answer. I grow weary of being angry at the things happening, but marches, boycotts, letters and calls, signing petitions, sending money and not making enough of a change. My faith teaches me that I must pray and that God will resolve the issue. Sadly, my patience is running thin. How do we continue when we see our friends turning against us when our own families have turned against us. Perhaps the French are correct and a walk out is necessary.

Historically, it takes 3% of the population to oppose a nation's governing to bring change. 250M over 18 in US. 155M voted in last election. Of that 155M that voted, 3% is 4,650,000. This regime has not responded to past efforts, so 10% would a number that signals majority isn't standing with them and we will need 15.5M emails: 25th amendment or impeachment, whichever is faster, now! Just sent to your states Republican House and Senate representatives in Washington would give the numbers they understand. Politics is a numbers game and it is survival at this point to have the numbers for a peaceful turn around of this administration.

This is the campaign we need. 155M can vote, surely 10%+ can email in mass in a small window.

Ana warner's avatar

I don’t think this regime is like any in the past.. they don’t give a fk what people want. They’re determined to rule by force if needed so they can impose their will on the majority

He is trying to get foreign countries to come here and kill us all. Hopefully they only want to kill him... like the Iranians!

Michelle Nee's avatar

Our Former Allies: Boycott the US. No business deals, no FIFA, no Olympics, no tourism, NO NOTHING!

Give the boot to any American company in your country. Send them packing.

We need a complete, unconditional and immediate boycott.

M.Wilson's avatar

Of course they don't when you look from their view. The first big protest was a 💩show and shameful to be honest. Signs with free Palestine, Ukraine, Israel, and jokes, memes, cartoons, witty phrases and words about Trump and he must go. There were Ukraine, Mexico, Mexican American flags. How was he suppose to go? Who was the message directed at marching in streets at times looking like a block party? Republicans? Democrats? Trump? Israel? Ukraine? This gave them not concern but more confidence.

Next boycotting. Target, Walmart and Amazon are 3 out of the Fortune 500 and all still there with people showing, because not enough partisapants nor was it sustained.

All congressional representatives have staff that monitor emails and calls. Profanity rants and calls never reach them. They certainly don't go to the comments section on social media to read your complains and wishlist. There are people who observe the numbers of the content providers who oppose this administration that grow to large numbers but that's to try and stop them .

The administration without republican interference has turned this country into a fascist state with part of the country take a wait and see, another thinks the midterms will save use in a very questionable fair election, part doesn't care because it hadn't hit them and the last group tries to see what will stick to the wall and it hasn't.

Like I said, its a numbers game and so far our numbers have been nothing to fear from the Republicans.

Ten's of millions all saying the same thing, we want putin's puppet out, and you to do it now. They assume retaliation might happen at the polls. So would you throw him under the bus to save yourself or let him stay and roll the dice with odds not in your favor from the numbers.

Judy Steiner's avatar

Beyond not being fit, he continually breaks constitutional law. Because he can. Republicans won't stop him. He owns the Supreme Court.

What’s happening in Minnesota now is a practice run for broad roll out in the months ahead, in blue states at a minimum.

Remember just a few months ago when Hegseth and Trump summoned ALL the top military brass to one place (bright idea and massive wage of resources) and among all the idiotic things they had to say, Hegseth said that they would have the military “training in American cities.” We ALL know (except irredeemable MAGA) how dangerous and un-American this is.

I think they will try to deploy the military for a massive coup to really tear down our existing governmental structure around July 4, or to halt the elections or invade blue states to interfere with the November elections. They have something very big brewing, and whatever it is, it will be horrific. We all need to understand we are completely out of the realm of normal.

I sure hope there are people inside the system who are willing to stand up and do what is right. We know there are PLENTY of corrupt people in the system and billionaires that are complicit in all of it.
