Important Sunday Night Message
TikTok is suppressing my content right now, and I am investing heavily into Substack.
Tonight is a slower news night, so I wanted to share a story from a recent interaction I had. Not long ago, I was asked during an interview, “Are you burnt out? What do you do for work-life balance?”
I laughed.
Because… of course I’m burnt out.
But I’m also on fire with purpose. This work—the late nights, the early mornings, the breaking news that wakes me at 3AM—it’s more than a job. It’s more than a career. It’s a mission. One that I believe in with every fiber of my being.
There is no work-life balance when the work is your life’s calling. And right now, that calling is louder than ever.
Lately, that mission has come under fire. TikTok is now suppressing my content—issuing a strike for being labeled as “AI” and delivering multiple warnings over news I’ve worked hard to verify and report with integrity. The platform’s algorithms are tightening, not just on creators, but on truth itself. That’s why I’m slowly moving away from TikTok and investing heavily into Substack—a platform where truth doesn’t get throttled, and independent journalism can still breathe.
But I can only do this with your help.
If you’re new here: welcome. This is The Parnas Perspective, an independent news platform that’s 100% reader-supported. No ads. No algorithms. No billionaire owners. Just facts, transparency, and truth. If what I’m saying resonates—if you want to be part of building something that serves the public, not the powerful—I’d be honored if you’d consider becoming a paid subscriber today.
This work is free to read, but not free to produce. Supporting this means you’re not just helping me—you’re helping all of us reclaim journalism that works for people, not profit.
We know what it feels like to be tired.
Not just from the work we do—but from the world we’re living in.
Tired of the bad news.
Tired of watching chaos dominate the headlines, while truth struggles to break through.
Tired of misinformation. Tired of division. Tired of feeling powerless.
We’re not imagining it. The fatigue is real. The weight is heavy.
But we carry it anyway. Because we know we’re not alone.
We are building something different—together.
And we’re doing it at a time when it’s never been more important.
The truth is, we’re up against a system that’s not designed to serve us.
Newsrooms once built to inform now serve ad dollars, shareholders, and political agendas. Information is gatekept by paywalls. And entire communities are left out of national conversations because they can’t afford access to facts.
The Washington Post says “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”
I say Democracy dies behind a paywall.
That’s why we’re here.
This work—every story, every post, every fact-checked headline—isn’t just about reporting. It’s about reclaiming power. It’s about making truth available to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
No ads. No billionaire ownership.
Just people. Supporting people. Sharing truth.
That’s what we’re building. And we’re just getting started.
This is more than one person typing late into the night.
This is a collective. This is you—subscribers, readers, amplifiers, allies. The people who show up, who care, who want better for the world and are willing to build it, one truth at a time.
So yes, I know many of us are tired.
But we’re also awake.
And we know that collective exhaustion is not a weakness. It’s a signal. It means we’re paying attention. It means we’re still in the fight.
If you're feeling that same weight—that same exhaustion from a system that constantly asks more of us while giving less—know this: you're not alone.
And we’re not powerless.
We believe news should be free.
We believe access to truth shouldn’t depend on your income.
We believe media should inform, not manipulate.
We believe in us. All of us.
A community of people hungry for something better.
So if you believe in that too—if you're ready to help shape a new kind of journalism that puts people first—please consider becoming a paid subscriber today.
Because this only works if we all show up.
Every subscription is more than support. It's a stand. It’s a stake in something bold, something real, something ours.
Together, we are rebuilding trust.
Together, we are demanding better.
Together, we are refusing to let the truth be buried beneath noise, greed, or apathy.
We are exhausted—but determined.
Burnt out—but not broken.
And no matter how dark it gets, we’ll keep the light on. For each other.
Thank you for being part of this.
We’re not done.
We’re not even close.
We’re just getting started.
Thank you for all you do Aaron. Not only are you providing us with news we trust, this is a community. And I’m incredibly grateful for that bc it has made me feel so much less alone 💙
I would suggest you post a message on TikTok that states: "Due to my messages being flagged, I am taking my content to Substack. All are welcome to follow me there where no one censors content to suit the government."
