This week was historic in more ways than one. And as we approach the end of the work week, I want to leave you with something I rarely take the time to say out loud—but deeply believe:
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
That’s not just a quote I live by—it’s a truth that’s shaped every step of my journey. Growing up, I didn’t have connections in media. I didn’t have a fancy resume or a seat at the table. But what I did have was a voice—and the courage to use it.
I picked up my phone. I started filming TikToks. I spoke about the news in a way that felt real. And I did it not because I thought it would lead to interviews with national leaders, but because I refused to stay silent.
And yet—here we are.
This newsletter exists because I refuse to look away. I refuse to become numb. And if you’re still reading this, chances are—you do too.
But here’s the truth: I can’t do it alone.
If you believe in independent journalism that doesn’t back down—I hope you’ll consider becoming a paid subscriber.
This week alone, we sat down with Pete Buttigieg, the former Secretary of Transportation, for a wide-ranging interview about the state of our country. We spoke with James Talarico, a Texas State Representative who made headlines when he fled the state to block gerrymandered maps. And just today, we wrapped up an exclusive with Elizabeth Booker Houston, a former federal employee who resigned—and torched the Trump Administration on her way out.
Her courage floored me. Her voice matters. And I believe her story deserves to be heard everywhere.
That’s why I wanted to take tonight not just to say thank you for giving me this platform—but to remind you:
Your dreams are valid. Your voice has power. And the world needs it—now more than ever.
I want to pause here—not to unpack a single headline, but to speak to the broader moment we’re living in.
Because make no mistake: this is a historic era—and one that future generations will study. When they do, they’ll ask:
Did anyone speak up?
Did journalists hold the powerful accountable?
Or did they look away?
Right now, too many in the media are choosing comfort over confrontation. Access over accountability. And while they do, Donald Trump is working overtime to rewrite history, manipulate public memory, and bulldoze his way back to power—unchecked.
So no—this moment isn’t just about journalism.
It’s about truth. It’s about democracy.
It’s about all of us.
Your support doesn’t just fund me. It powers a platform that exists because the corporate media ecosystem so often fails us. It allows me to tell the stories that matter. To slow the news down and make it matter again.
Recently, someone asked me if I’ve become numb to the stories I cover—ICE raids, legal erosion, families torn apart, policies with brutal consequences.
The honest answer? Sometimes, yes.
There are days I feel exhausted. Disheartened. Heartbroken.
But I keep going. Because someone has to.
And because I still believe—deeply—that journalism can be a tool of accountability, not just a megaphone for power.
That’s why I’m expanding this platform.
To go deeper. To follow the paper trails.
To highlight the people whose lives never make it into the “breaking news” banner.
This is where you come in.
Subscriptions aren’t just a financial model.
They’re freedom. They’re fuel.
Every paid subscriber helps me do more.
If you’ve ever read something here and thought,
“This should be a bigger story,” — then help me make it one.
And if you’re not in a place to subscribe right now? That’s okay. There will never be a paywall here. The news will always be free. Because that’s what truth deserves.
But here’s what I do want you to know:
If the headlines ever feel like too much—it’s okay to log off. Breathe. Take a break.
I’m not going anywhere.
I’ll still be here.
Still digging. Still reporting. Still fighting.
Because this isn’t just a job to me—it’s a commitment.
To truth. To you. To this community we’re building together.
If you’re reading this, I know you might be scared or hesitant to speak up. I know the weight of the world can feel like too much some days. I get it. Truly.
But there is nothing more powerful than using your voice.
Because your voice is your power.
You are amazing. You are killing it. Keep going.
And let’s keep building this independent media landscape—together.
We’re just getting started.
With gratitude,
Aaron
