Not long ago, I stood in front of a room full of middle and high school students. We talked about truth. About power. About what it means to stand up—not just for ourselves, but for each other.
Then one student raised their hand and asked me something I’ll never forget:
“Did you see yourself doing this work when you were our age?”
That question stopped me cold. Because the truth is—I didn’t.
At 14, I started college because I wanted to become a public defender. I believed that the legal system could be used to fight for the voiceless. By 18, I had finished undergrad. By 21, I’d earned my law degree—one of the youngest in the country. I didn’t take that path because it was easy. I took it because I believed in the power of using your voice to protect people who couldn’t protect themselves.
And, I need your help to keep it going. If you believe in fearless, independent journalism—truth-telling with no corporate strings, no ads, and no agenda but the people’s—please consider subscribing today.
In many ways, that belief hasn’t changed.
I may not be cross-examining witnesses in a courtroom. But I am still advocating—just in a different way.
Now, I use my voice to investigate. To expose. To speak truth to power—even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it’s dangerous.
Because what I’m about to tell you isn’t being covered the way it should. And that’s by design. This 24 hour news cycle allows some of the most important stories to just drift away.
A budget bill just became law—and most Americans don’t know what’s in it.
According to Pew Research, 49% oppose it, 29% support it, and 21% are unsure. That last group—tens of millions—haven’t seen the facts. Not because they don’t care, but because they haven’t been shown.
That’s where I come in. And that’s where you come in.
Already, misinformation is spreading. Some claim the bill doesn’t cut Medicaid. Others blame Democrats for slashing food assistance. Still others say it reduces the deficit.
None of that is true.
Here’s what the Congressional Budget Office and independent analysis actually show:
It defunds Planned Parenthood by blocking Medicaid reimbursements—affecting over 1 million patients.
One-third of clinics may shut down, gutting access to STI screenings, cancer exams, and prenatal care.
It strips food aid from 270,000 veterans, foster youth, and unhoused people.
It eliminates the SAVE student loan plan, potentially costing borrowers $3,000 more per year.
Medicaid recipients face $35 co-pays per doctor visit—a barrier that will prevent families from getting care.
A $51 billion tax credit incentivizes private school vouchers—draining public school funding, especially in rural communities.
It triples ICE’s budget to $30 billion, expanding deportation powers with almost no oversight.
And that brings us to what’s already happening—in real time.
Across the U.S., American citizens—especially Latinos—are being wrongfully detained by ICE:
Leonardo Garcia Venegas, a Florida-born construction worker, detained on site.
Jose Hermosillo, a citizen from Albuquerque, held in detention for 10 days.
Jason Brian Gavidia, born in East L.A., confronted outside his workplace.
And then there's Alligator Alcatraz—a secretive ICE facility built overnight in the Florida Everglades using emergency powers. Officially unnamed. No public oversight. Already holding over 400 people.
Inside, detainees report:
No access to bathing water.
Just one meal a day—sometimes served with maggots.
24/7 white light that makes sleep impossible.
Personal Bibles confiscated.
Critical medications denied.
This isn’t about party lines. I’ve spoken to Republicans, Democrats, and independents who are horrified by what they’re learning. What they want isn’t spin.
They want facts. Clarity. Truth.
That’s what I intend to provide.
The more I uncover, the more those in power push back.
I’m being threatened. I’m being targeted. But I am not backing down. Because the work matters more than ever. And that’s why I’m asking:
This isn’t a media empire. It’s a one-person newsroom.
I investigate every lead. I verify every fact. I write, edit, publish, and protect the work. I choose the stories that matter, not the ones that are easiest to sell. There are no ad dollars. No billionaire backers. No corporate middlemen. There’s just me—and you.
And that’s the point.
Because in a media landscape flooded with misinformation, manufactured narratives, and corporate PR disguised as news, truth has become a radical act.
And independent journalism? It’s an act of resistance.
When I launched The Parnas Perspective, I did it with one purpose: to build something honest. To create journalism that doesn’t flinch, doesn’t bow, and doesn’t answer to power—except to challenge it. I wanted to speak to people, not at them. To cover what matters, not just what trends. And to do it all without compromising the mission for profit.
Since then, we’ve held the #1 spot in Substack’s News category for three straight months.
No outside funding. Just the strength of this community—your subscriptions, your shares, your belief.
And yes, some people say I ask too much. But I know this: if we want media that’s truly independent, truly fearless, and truly accountable to us, then reader support is the only way.
So if you’ve already subscribed—thank you. Deeply.
If you’re reading this and believe this work matters—now is the time to step in.
Every subscription funds the next investigation. The next trip to follow a lead. The time spent chasing down the story no one else is telling. It gives me the freedom to keep reporting when the heat gets turned up—and right now, it’s hotter than ever.
This work doesn’t just live online. It sparks change. It brings attention to stories others overlook. It challenges lies. It protects the truth.
And it’s only just beginning.
So tonight, I’m asking: join me.
If you believe in real journalism—not spin, not clickbait, not billionaire-sponsored propaganda—support it.
Subscribe. Share. Stand with me.
Because no matter how loud the attacks get, no matter how high the stakes rise—
I’m not going anywhere.
And if you’re still reading this… I know you aren’t either.
Together, we’re building something that can’t be bought, silenced, or stopped.
We’re not just telling stories.
We’re changing the story.
Just so you know, Aaron, I am saving each newsletter you write explaining what is really in the Big BS Bill so, when I talk to people, I will be able to point to your work and describe what the bill really does. So, thank you for your effort. It is most appreciated.
Stay loud Aaron. We appreciate you!
