I'm Burnt Out. The Reality of Independent Journalism
I told you I would always be honest to you no matter what.
Full disclosure: I’m feeling very burnt out tonight.
After more than three months of nonstop reporting—covering the news 24/7, keeping up with every story, and making sure this community stays informed—I think it finally caught up with me. The exhaustion hit hard, and I need to listen to it.
Because of that, I’m canceling our live tonight and rescheduling it for tomorrow or Friday (TBD). I appreciate your understanding and, most of all, your support. This community means everything to me, and I’m grateful for the space we’re building together.
I’ll be back in the morning with your usual update. But as I take this short pause, I want to remind you that independent journalism is a grind—and it’s only possible because of readers like you. If you value this work and want to help power it forward, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. Your support makes it possible for me to keep going, even on the hard days. Protect your peace, Aaron. We appreciate all that you do but you're also human. Be good to you! We will still be here.
You do so much!!!! I think we all collectively agree you have every right to take care of yourself!
