Donald Trump Takes On The Media And Announces Major Tariffs | Evening News Rundown
Donald Trump announces massive tariffs, takes on the media, and JD Vance lays the groundwork for a constitutional crisis. Just another Sunday.
Today is February 9, 2025, and here is all the news you missed from today. As promised, this will be a text based update as I’m traveling right now.
On a personal note, Donald Trump’s attack on our media reached a high today as his lawsuit against CBS, for editing Vice President Harris’ 60 Minutes interview, was upped to now seek $20 million in damages. Time will tell if CBS settles, but we’ve already seen ABC News do something similar. This is just the beginning. Trump’s FCC has begun investigating NPR and PBS, and it is expected to increase the number of investigations during the next several months.
As an independent journalist, I want you to know that I am not afraid of Donald Trump or his Administration. If they come after me, I won’t settle. If they target my work, I’ll punch back. I will never stop working to provide you with the truth while holding our leaders accountable. To that end, unlike major media companies, I’m funded by you and only beholden to you.
