Cutting the suicide hotline services is a new low…

Moo's avatar

Especially as now is most likely one if the highest traffic times for people to need mental health services

That's the point, they're trying to kill "The Weak" so that there can only be "The Strong", but they don't realize how many people don't match up to their expectations of strength and they will undercut their own power. Unless this is all to spread chaos and loot the country while enjoying all of the cruelty involved, then they're just destroying everything they can get away with. We will be left with nothing so we must protect what we can and build/rebuild what is taken from us. If we can get through this time, we can rebuild into something amazing we just have to survive.

Chelsea's avatar

It’s almost like they want people to die.

Bee kind's avatar

They absolutely do not care about us, the people. They’ve made that abundantly clear over the past 100 days.

Take away ALL of the services that help keep us alive - healthy physically and mentally… less of us, equals less resistance.

Plus less $$ spent on us, equals more $$ for the oligarchy!

In Thursday’s letter from Heather Cox Richardson, she reported that between 1981 to 2021, $50 trillion moved from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. Think about that for a moment, let the shock pass through you. Write it down, commit it to memory & then repeat it anywhere, everywhere you can. I’m sure you’re as shocked & appalled as I am. Let’s harness that anger, that energy & use it to resist & then resolve to change our future, to make a new America.

Um...they do. To them we are useless eaters. ✊😎

That’s the most political way to just say “kill yourself”

Karen Z's avatar

They don’t care about LGBTQ youth.

Please read this even though it's long: I'm a psychotherapist...in the mental health field we are highly aware of the unprecedented anxiety and depression that so many of us experience now and we are prepared to support folx. Don't hesitate to reach out to your local clinic or wherever you can get mental/emotional support! I love that Aaron has normalized how difficult this time is; and I so appreciate your kindness Aaron.

We are here to love and support one another; please share your feelings here! Also, be assured that the mental health field is here to support you! Just let me say that fear/ anxiety/depression can show up in LOTS of ways, like: general irritation/agitation you can't explain, getting into fights with family and friends, memory loss, confusion about stuff that has always felt routine, an uncomfortable, ongoing background inner unrest that won't quit, inability to sleep or sleeping too much, physical pain/discomfort, loss of appetite or overeating, nightmares, general fatigue, any kind of substance miss-use, increased vulnerability to getting sick and so much more. It you feel "off" that's enough to know you need support!

We need to take extra good care of ourselves now, good food and regular sleep and all those basics, but also stay connected... lean on one another here and with those in your immediate circles that you know love you. Get outside and move your body, dance, walk, be in nature if you can. Sharing a meal with your people can be healing, watch for consuming too much news, maybe take a day off or a few days! And if you need support and cannot reach anyone at suicide prevention (there are still some folx there), then come on and lean in here. I love you! We love you! We need you!

He doesn’t care if people commit suicide, especially since he has a very active vendetta against the LGBTQ + community. Everyone in this whole administration is vile. They all deserve to go to jail for crimes against humanity in my opinion.

Lois W. Halbert's avatar

New low but there's more

Dale Otoole's avatar

That guy is a nut job! While he is worried about leaks, he is the one doing all the leaks. He should be charged and jailed. There is no excuse for this!

robopecha's avatar

he hopes to create enough chaos to distract from himself and find someone else who is more suspicious than him. who knows, maybe there are a lot more idiots like him working there. they should check all his signal friends.

It is an act of treason. The military is fully aware of this. I’ve he wasn’t so incompetent he would know that too. It is the number 1 part of his job. Even I know that.

He never knows what the right thing is from this minute to the next. He is unqualified as well. He is like a fish out of water flapping about.

Kymm's avatar

More like a Piranha!!

Karen Z's avatar

Agreed!! He is dangerous and a huge liability.

Rochelle's avatar

The teams call sound tripped me up because I’m working and listening and I was thinking who’s calling me at 6:42am?!

Aaron Parnas's avatar

LOL that was an accident

Andaleia's avatar

Lol, everyone listening just instantly going into a panic mode hearing it.

Marsha Martens's avatar

Bahaha same! I kept searching my desktop for a missed meeting or call!

Nicole Lojewski's avatar

Girl, same!!! 🤣 I was like "Dang y'all, I'm busy"!!

Katie Gahr's avatar

Maybe I’m missing something lol, but is Putin expected to follow truth social ? Isn’t that where Trump makes all of his batshit declarations? This is all so unhinged, I can’t even believe it’s reality.

P.K. Michelle's avatar

Trump posts that garbage to Truth Social so he can feel tough without actually doing anything. It's pathetic

Jackie's avatar

Yeah, it's wild to me how much "official business" is being conducted on social media. It reminds me of this Facebook group I've seen called something like "a group where we all talk like boomers."

Teri's avatar

Those batshit crazy declarations are probably fed to the Felon by Putin they private channels. 🙁

Taya's avatar

He needs to be fired. Wtf is congress doing

He is endangering everyone

Maria K.'s avatar

Nothing. The GOP-controlled congress is doing nothing.

Karen Z's avatar

The only thing at which they are proficient. Cowards.

Mary's avatar

Hegseth was/is not qualified for this position!! He’s showing his ass every day

Thank you for your hard work following all of this. I really appreciate your insight and effort.

Most companies when you log into their internet/intranet/LAN, you must 'AGREE' to the rules including cybersecurity. Breaching this are grounds for removal - PERIOD!

Jana's avatar

Thank you Aaron! You said something a couple weeks back that has sat with me. You mentioned that you were 25 and that the first election of significance you remember was when Trump one the first time. The senator you were interviewing said something like your generation has really only known political unrest. So much of this has been normalized for so many years that people of your generation don’t know any different. It really put things into perspective for me.

Jean Dean's avatar

Jana, great points. I was thinking last night that older generations (69 here) have had the sense of American pride. This included protecting and helping others within and outside our borders. The newer generations (as you wrote) experience this only second hand. Direct experience with national values has morphed into "what is best for me". My hope is that the people (youth/younger generations) lead to get back to how I remember America to be. I think it will be a different version. A better version. A safer, vibrant and thriving version that will benefit mankind.

Michelle Ives's avatar

This is so true Jana! I'm 51 and I remember how no one, and I mean no one would mention politics. Because it was the most boring thing ever. It was a yawn for so long and a great many people seemed to have no serious particular allegiance, but were simply patriotic instead. At least in Australia. Was it like that in the USA?

Jana's avatar

I don’t remember talking about politics much growing up except around elections and people were kind.

Black Raven's avatar

That chaos can come to a screeching halt if they 🔥 the DUI hire. End of the problems. He's thoroughly incompetent and a drunk. Who the fuck wants an alcoholic in charge of weapon plans?? Sheesh. He needed to be gone yesterday, as a matter of a fact never hired to begin with. 🤬😡😤😒

Paula Lajoie's avatar

So, potentially, HE'S the leak

Karen Z's avatar

An excellent point!!

debbie braden's avatar

You reported your top 2 topics yesterday. What about the conversation about Trump sharing inside information with Wall Street?

Sue's avatar

There’s so much going on right now, it would take a team to cover everything happening within this administration

Tessa's avatar

Having worked for the Fed government these actions are acts against the 🇺🇸. Who knows how this government will handle this violation of our nation security.

Bèi sī's avatar

The government will probably give him a performative slap on the wrist along with a "Petey, honey, we know you're just super patriotic, but you're supposed to do all of this behind the scenes, ok sweetie? " And then give him vodka & cookies.

The Shepard's avatar

Pete is acting very guilty imo.

Rochelle's avatar

Thank you for all you do Aaron

Thank you Aaron. And where the hell is Congress??
