This seems too good to be true. Something is up

Teresa Gorant's avatar

Exactly what I was thinking I feel like they tampered with them so the orange tweetalini isn’t in them

Angry Abuelita's avatar

They did. The files were scrubbed clean of Republican names, I believe. Epstein’s brother even said so.

Gerda Ho's avatar

You are probably correct! That’s why he now says to get them out! Who knows how much was taken out? “Only the Shadow knows” ( old radio program!🤪)

Regina Kennedy's avatar

I don't believe Donald Trump. He lies all the time. I can't remember the last time he told the truth. I'll wait until it happens.

Karen Mercier's avatar

I heard that they had people reading the files and redacted all the parts with Trump s name on them

LynseyFS's avatar

🤣 Orange Tweetalini is a new one for me & I Love It - added it to my faves list, right up there with Velveeta Voldemort & The Duke of Dysentery

Jacquetta Wassilie's avatar

Trump has been telling Republicans to release the files while, at the same time, also telling DOJ to reopen investigations into Dems that may be involved. Tbis reopening can and will effectively shut down releasing files during an ongoing investigation. See how that works?

Sally Castle's avatar

Exactly, Jacquetta. Not to mention that 1000 FBI agents will have conveniently redacted or deleted his name from any incriminating material.

Teach84's avatar

And Mark Epstein stated late last night that the files had been sent to a facility in Virginia to have all Republican names deleted.

Judy Robinson's avatar

There are other documents in existence which could legally prove some of the names which would have been removed, or at least that is my impression from having heard and/or read various news sources.

Tina's avatar

I wonder where he heard that. Not that I don't believe it, I'm just curious.

Teach84's avatar

He didn’t name his source, but he said the information came from a very reliable source whom he trusts.

Kerin M.'s avatar

Did anyone really doubt that he would do that!

Jennifer's avatar

The 1000 bootlickers*

Judy Robinson's avatar

Having done that would put them in jeopardy legally, even if they were simply following orders, I should think, if they did that.

Kerin M.'s avatar

There no such thing as legal when it comes to the current administration...never has been!

Rebekah Donohue's avatar

Not only this, but when we finally get them they’ll be scrubbed.

LynseyFS's avatar

It works for him because he can now say, "I tried. I really tried, but they won't let me" & his gullible 🍊 kool-aid drinkers will believe every word.

Marva A's avatar

True. I am amazed how so many millions of his followers choose to walk around in willful ignorance even when his actions hurt so many others.

Jacquetta Wassilie's avatar

Of course, it is! But that's how they're playing the game

Lizzie's avatar

They probably have scrubbed DJT’s name throughout the files!!!!

Becky Suchy's avatar

I did hear Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie talking on a podcast and they have other resources to back the information.. information from the victims' lawyers and the Epstein Estate..

M Franco's avatar

I predict that the "release" won't be a floodgate, but a trickle and whistleblowers will start coming forward to fill in gaps. Because of that, he'll never be able to close the file. He's doomed and it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

Kevin's avatar

That’s a lot of scrubbing.

Tracy Langdon's avatar

If only his name, then it’ll be obvious who the redacted is. If other Republicans are also eedacted, it would be harder to figure who - but as mentioned, the '“girls” are here to help you sort it out.

Roberta Truesdale's avatar

Not 1 tiny bit would cause me to think differently!

Angie Santiago's avatar

Agreed. I am concerned they may have destroyed evidence. With the shutdown taking so long, they have had plenty of time.

Lizzie's avatar

Their plan all along!!! How could they do DJT’s bidding?!!! It is the ultimate in CORRUPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judy Robinson's avatar

That action would be a punishable crime, if that is what happened.

Touchstone's avatar

I would think the statute of limitations would be long enough to punish the FBI agents and anyone else who knowingly scrubbed the files—after we kick Trump and his horrific administration to the curb. Hopefully they are not stupid enough to think Trump could “protect” them even with a preemptive pardon. If Trump tries to pardon them, well have a good idea they are guilty.

Kevin's avatar

Something’s always up with this administration.

Andrea Tate's avatar

Yep, I think they removed something or that investigation he told Bondi to open will somehow stop this. There's no way he just changed his tune over night after fighting it so hard.

kim's avatar

That's what I said. They're up to no good.

…..'s avatar

My thoughts exactly

Marti York's avatar

Either Trump's name is scrubbed from them, or the DOJ won't actually release them. But all the Republicans can campaign on voting to release them when they're up for re-election. All they do is con, scheme, and manipulate.

Deborah Newman's avatar

That’s right but hopefully democrats will get spines and remind everyone the truth.

Adsumus's avatar

It is too good to be true. In an investigation, records cannot be made public. He's insisting on having an investigation done, "for democratic fraud." The biggest joke, it will lock up the files. An investigation can take years.

Deborah Newman's avatar

That’s why President Biden didn’t release them - because of the Maxwell investigation. But they’re claiming otherwise of course.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Unless you're investigating Hillary's emails. No, James Comey, I will NEVER forget. (I still think the case against him should be dropped and Lindsey Halligan disbarred. I may get my wish there!)

Adsumus's avatar

If you really care about that then, you should support the efforts here. Corruption does exist throughout our government, on both sides of the aisle. If we keep getting interrupted with notions of, "what about them?," then we will get nowhere. All of the corruption, fraud, abuse, and crimes need to stop. END OF STORY!

Moxieville's avatar

If the files have been scrubbed- then what?

Hil Hernandez's avatar

Congress moves forward with impeaching Traitor-trump because he’s given plenty of other reasons to impeach under Article 2

Deborah Newman's avatar

They should have done this way before now because of the corruption and unlawfulness they’ve done since Day 1. So much damage has been done.

Lizbeth Maher's avatar

They won’t be successful until they have a majority in the House and Senate. That’s why they’re waiting until after midterms to act. Of course, now Trump has turned many of his former voters against him, what with his immigration and foreign policies, and the bad economy. He’s sunk himself by turning his back on his own people.

Deborah Newman's avatar

Here’s President Obama (or AI) regarding Article 2 and what it takes. This has to happen soon because Project 2025 is working around the clock to destroy us. Midterms will be too late. We need to call and write our senators and reps.

Nature X's avatar

Yep!! I do not have a good feeling about this.

Deborah Newman's avatar

Me either. They are too eager now. Those files might be worthless at this point. They’ve retyped everything with another 1,000 FBI agents.

I wish the survivors would name names but their lives are probably in jeopardy. I thought one of the Congress women was going to come up with a list.

S. A. Linden's avatar

I think I know what it is. I was going through my dated emails and watched a video of The Breakdown w/ Allison Gill. Most of the last part is dated (Nov. 10), but the first part was shocking, as she described her contacts revealing how the redactment process happened, in all of its sloppiness, poor management, and imperative directions for these hundreds of personnel to flag any mention of Trump. She also described how shocked many of them were at having to watch hours of videos of massages and other sexual encounters, with nude underage girls often featured in their interactions. PTSD on steroids. Everyone should watch the first part of this if you haven't seen it already:

<https://www.muellershewrote.com/p/sources-the-epstein-files-are-worse>

Yanet's avatar

100% suspicious 🤨

Betty@R's avatar

Espsteins brother stated there doing to retract republican from the emails then I heard once approved then DOJ will say they can release because its under investigation 🤦‍♀️

Patty Evans's avatar

Pam Bondi is gonna come out with her ‘investigation of the democrats.’

Laura.azbill's avatar

Those files are not going to be released. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I am

Chris's avatar

There are more copies out there…someone will come out with them eventually if trump and bondi block them. There are others that have dirt on trump.

Chris's avatar

Don't give up ! The truth will come out. People know he's lying. There's to many pictures floating around of him with young girls. He was best friends with Epstein for 15 yrs. Also the women know the truth!

Deborah Newman's avatar

Trump said Epstein was a really great guy and he likes women like him and on the young side. He’ll say the pictures are AI by the democrats.

Judy Robinson's avatar

Yet the photographs were taken before AI had reached the current stage of development, weren’t they? Also, if duplicates exits and are found in multiple places, possible with emails or postal envelopes, and dated, that could be verification.

Deborah Newman's avatar

Yes, they were from decades ago, but you know how he is. He makes things up and he repeats, repeats repeats and people believe him. Hopefully there are pics that can be validated.

Laura.azbill's avatar

Trump continues to get away with all his crimes and this is no different

Patty O's avatar

I’m hoping Epstein’s estate will release them to the public.

Sher''s avatar

I whole heartedly agree.

Stephanie Kyne's avatar

I’ve seen a few of the files on the government website and they were so heavily redacted, totally useless.

Deborah Newman's avatar

I believe it. They’re too willing now because they’ve had all this time to even retype them!

Byron Michael's avatar

With the Pubs, you can’t trust what you see in front of you…. This feels very performative.

Tracy's avatar

the files will be redacted of all republicans but will list all democrats. djt is already saying “i wasn’t never there, wasn’t me” sickening;and piggy??!

Emma Gandy's avatar

When will MTG read those names? Can’t be too soon.

Shanyn Krieger's avatar

Not if there's an open investigation

Dax Jac's avatar

I agree!! And boy do I hope I’m wrong, for the victims sake

Nancy Ellen's avatar

I agree they files will not see the light of day. DOJ will claim they need to be concealed become of some ongoing "investigation"

My5Cats's avatar

It's a veto proof majority. Congress has done their job! I wouldn't be surprised if the files are heavily redacted though. I certainly hope not.

TEOTWAWKI's avatar

Yes, it goes to the president desk. Where he will conclude, “so sorry piggies. it’s an active investigation.”

Joanne Powers's avatar

By the way, where is the desk? The Resolute Desk. The last photo I saw, of the golden oval didn't seem to include it. History means nothing to him.

NoApologies!'s avatar

Exactly.

He told bondi to start an investigation so that now it can be said they can't be released because of an active investigation.

Nick's avatar

Yes. Or classify many so not part of the bill.

Tracy S's avatar

Am I the only one wondering what the catch will be?

Maria K.'s avatar

No. You are definitely not the only one. I am waiting not just for another shoe, but for an entire shoe rack to drop.

Meredith Hutmacher's avatar

The GOP can brag about voting for releasing the files, but the WH will not release them. If they do it will be calculated to frame Democrats only.

S. A. Linden's avatar

They'll try to put Dems on the defense again (as usual). Did anyone see the "Revenge-o-Rama" the House pulled the minute the Epstein vote concluded? Disgusting, censuring Stacy Plaskett as if she were implicated with Epstein. I guarantee that more than one of the Republicans were in thick with old Jeff. Not to mention it was like pulling teeth to get George Santos out. And Matt Gaetz? Still TBD. Gym Jordan? ETC.

Carla's avatar

Here’s the catch. He previously said that the committee could have “everything they’re legally entitled to.

Now he says “everyone can see it.”

But… He just told Barbie, I mean Bondi, to “open an investigation of [names three or four Democrats] and their involvement with Epstein.”

So, suddenly, just like that, there is “an active investigation going” so Bondi can’t release the files. They can keep that investigation going until Jan 22, 2029, or until he dies, whichever comes first.

Touchstone's avatar

Plus the pocket Beto which would kill this bill.

Carla's avatar

“Insubordinate” 🤣🤣😂

Ellen Edwards's avatar

He didn’t just call her a horrible reporter. He told her be quiet, piggy. I would have seen red if he said something like that to me. The rapist and pedophile and he has the balls to call a woman, piggy.

Amelia Adams's avatar

I really wish the reporter was ZsaZsa! Smack!!!!

Jeannine's avatar

Misogynistic pig take a look in the mirror

Deb Fletter's avatar

ZsaZsa was such a treasure 😍

Emily's avatar

He called the other ABC reporter a horrible person and a horrible reporter…. How does he know what kind of person she is?!? It’s all proof of sexism. He doesn’t talk to men this way! He’s so awful

Gerda Ho's avatar

He definitely picks on women! He really makes our country look bad!

Kate Sullivan's avatar

Hes an abuser, that so obvious

My5Cats's avatar

Convicted in the E. Jean Carroll case. Assaulted her from behind at a clothing store fitting room.

maZ's avatar

Im not sure ‘picks on’ is strong enough, Gerda.

maZ's avatar

Ooohhhh I think he would have…that question would have had the same nasty response to a man. What is the REAL disgrace was ‘honoring’ that murderer, as dt did.

S. A. Linden's avatar

Well, that's who he is. We used to say as kids "What you say is what you are."

Give me 5 min. in a room with that creep and I guarantee he will never do that again.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

When we were kids it was "I know you are, but what am I?"

Kerin M.'s avatar

He's the biggest pig that there is!

maZ's avatar

🤦🏻‍♀️ Insulting pigs!

Gerda Ho's avatar

Well, he’s got a temper, and he’s crude‘

Kate Sullivan's avatar

He needs to be b:+[h slapped…

VRiley's avatar

She should have said… and you're a terrible president and an orange piggy.

Tanya Valdizon's avatar

Epstein’s brother said Republicans have been scrubbed…

Gerda Ho's avatar

That sounds correct!

maZ's avatar

Now THAT makes sense…but 23k emails? There is going to be a ‘few’ things in there.

Dana Pluck's avatar

Why would Mark Epstein have access to the files to know this?

maZ's avatar

He is in the emails communicating w/je

Jetta Girl's avatar

A Trump-pardoned Jan. 6 rioter, Andrew Paul Johnson, was arrested on child molestation charges, with officials saying he tried to bribe his underage victim into silence by promising a nonexistent multimillion-dollar “Jan. 6” payout.

-not a trans woman, queer person or a drag queen. Good ol white bread republikkklan

maZ's avatar

republikkklan…clever!

C. Deanne Rowe's avatar

This is amazing but I’m skeptical

Claudia's avatar

Where to begin with this hypocritical joke of a president. He deserves no respect from reporters—especially females. This, the day after he admonishes a female reporter to “keep quiet piggy.” He won’t release the full files using the same lame excuse the he used with his taxes, “they’re under investigation so I can’t, legally.” Last but not least, he wants to return a whopping $2,000 so so we can buy healthcare directly. Spoken like someone who knows nothing about how healthcare, risk management, and how insurance companies work. I am SOOOO sick of his bullshit. Excuse my language.

maZ's avatar

2k for HeathCare…what a fool!

man…he really believes we are THAT stupid.

Kerin M.'s avatar

Amen to all that you have said!🙏

Cortney Cooper's avatar

I’m skeptical- I think it worked out for all of the “no” votes to say in the future to their constituents that they voted to release them but they just couldn’t be released bc of ongoing investigations

Becky Suchy's avatar

Please find out the name of the ABC reporter that asked him questions that actually mattered. I think we should all tell ABC that they actually have a reporter that is doing her job... and we should all thank her for standing up.

Lily's avatar

Mary Bruce of ABC! Awesome Mary! Excellent reporter! She is doing an awesome Job!

Jenn Kaylor's avatar

He was so vile to her my jaw actually dropped in horror. I am not surprised, but the moment these thing stop shocking me is the moment I become one of them.

Judy Robinson's avatar

Becky, thank you for asking her name! Absolutely, she was wise, polite, and admirably on target! His tirade, rudeness, and evasion of a truthful response indicated quite a cover up as well as lack of character by the words used, it seemed. She and the news station must know that we appreciate her and them, and that she is to be honored!

maZ's avatar

100% agree! And she asked w/attitude of ‘disgust’ in her voice and a bring-it-on facial expression that was warranted! Love it!

Ccdmorse's avatar

Aaron do you believe the files were altered?

Gerda Ho's avatar

Do you believe water is wet!

maZ's avatar

Not sure I ‘trust’ that anymore either.

Debbie Mclellan's avatar

No question they have been altered.

Bluestocking_Brigade's avatar

Yeah, this administration and these Republicans don’t do anything seemingly noble without a nefarious agenda.

Linda Hoganson's avatar

I am still having difficulty understanding what seems to be a large percentage of voting Americans want to end democracy.

maZ's avatar

Where did you get that info? dt’s approval rating is in the 30s

Linda Hoganson's avatar

Thanx for the reality check. I’ve been reading too many online bots recently.

maZ's avatar

Yup, I get it…GenZ are sooo not with him. We have alot of work to do to try to clean up this horrific mess he’s made. Keep speaking up! Join a group!

maZ's avatar

Absolutely agree! Not buying it. dt just released foles so he could claim ‘he’ told reps to vote yes…he wants credit…pay attention…something is up!

MitEZaly's avatar

I’m sure the files have been scrubbed

maZ's avatar

I believe, in my heart-of-hearts, that someone has a copy (or 2). The emails plus the files will off an understanding/connection that will ‘out’ the criminal behavior and those involved.

If/when we can actually see/read the files.

Gerda Ho's avatar

It’s an” obviosity” as my daughter used to say when she was 5!

Rogb's avatar

How about deletions?

Maria K.'s avatar

A deletion would be a change - so it would be an amendment. Not being privy to what exactly is in there, it's impossible to tell what they are going to release. The idea is to put them out there AS THEY ARE, with only the names of the victims having been redacted. Is that what's going to happen? We'll see. That's what we are all waiting for.

Nikki's avatar

If it’s almost unanimous in both houses that means veto proof majority unless someone gets shiesty right?

Cherae Stone's avatar

Yep. Only one vote against in the entire legislature.

maZ's avatar

Im not sure…but if it is vetoed by dt (lower case intended)…I believe that Congress can move forward IF they reallllly want it done (whatever ‘it’ is). Hope someone can let us know for sure.

Daisy's avatar

God, Aaron you do great work!!
