BREAKING: Supreme Court Rules Against Trump as Moody's Downgrades U.S. Credit Rating

The Supreme Court dealt a major loss to the Trump Administration, Moody's has downgraded the U.S. credit rating, the DOJ will charge a Democratic Congresswoman for protesting ICE, and more.

Good evening everyone. With MAGA attacks ramping up against me, I am ready to fight back harder than ever before, but I can only do it with your support. Please consider subscribing today. Together, we will fight back.

Now, let’s get to the news:

  • Moody's has downgraded the United States' credit rating from Aaa to Aa1. They cited concerns that the current government plans are unlikely to significantly reduce long-term mandatory spending or budget deficits.

  • The Supreme Court ruled 7-2 to block the government from using the Alien Enemies Act to quickly deport alleged gang members without proper legal process. The justices found that the government failed to provide adequate notice and that the 5th Circuit was wrong to deny relief.

  • The House Budget Committee voted 21–16 against advancing President Donald Trump's proposed tax and spending legislation, known as the "One Big Beautiful Bill." Five Republican members—Reps. Chip Roy (TX), Ralph Norman (SC), Josh Brecheen (OK), Andrew Clyde (GA), and Lloyd Smucker (PA)—joined all Democrats in opposing the bill, citing concerns over its projected addition of $5.2 trillion to the national debt by 2034 and the delayed implementation of Medicaid work requirements

  • The Justice Department is preparing to file charges against Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) following an incident at the Delaney Hall immigration detention center in Newark on May 9.

  • The Department of Homeland Security is reportedly exploring the idea of a reality TV show in which immigrants would compete for a chance to gain U.S. citizenship, according to the Wall Street Journal.

  • According to NBC, the Trump administration was developing a plan to permanently move up to one million Palestinians from Gaza to Libya.

  • The UK has surpassed China to become the second-largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities. This shift reflects changing global investment patterns and financial relationships.

  • Donald Trump decided to attack Taylor Swift on his way home from the Middle East.

  • According to NBC, Pope Leo XIV has stated that the foundation of a family is the union between a man and a woman.

  • Former FBI Director James Comey is under investigation by the U.S. Secret Service after posting an Instagram photo showing seashells arranged to form the numbers "8647." Some interpreted this as a veiled threat against President Donald Trump, the 47th U.S. president, with "86" being slang for "eliminate" .

  • U.S. consumer sentiment has dropped to 50.8 in May 2025, marking the second-lowest level ever recorded by the University of Michigan's index. This decline reflects growing concerns over inflation and economic uncertainty, particularly related to recent trade policies and tariffs.

  • Syria will stop printing its currency in Russia and will instead shift production to Germany and the UAE. As part of the redesign, President Bashar al-Assad’s image will be removed from the new banknotes.

See you in the morning.
