We have breaking news—despite chaos for most of the night, Senate Republicans have moved forward the budget bill, clearing a key procedural hurdle after Senator Ron Johnson flipped his vote.

The final tally was 51-49. It’s far from over, however. Now, the Senate will read the full bill which will take 15 hours. There will then be 10 hours of debate, followed by a vote-a-rama (introducing new amendments). Once that’s done there will be a final vote in the Senate on the bill.

More to come.
