  • Donald Trump is scheduled to sign an executive order on Thursday aimed at dismantling the U.S. Department of Education.

  • In January, a U.S. citizen was walking near Chicago when ICE suddenly took him into custody. They handcuffed him, forced him into a van, and took his wallet—along with his ID. He was held for 10 hours before being released, with no official record of what had happened.

  • Officials say the Trump administration is considering a plan for the Pentagon to take control of a buffer zone along a large section of the southern border. This proposal would also authorize active-duty U.S. troops to temporarily detain migrants who cross into the country illegally.

  • The U.S. military has removed mentions of the Holocaust, 9/11 remembrance, cancer awareness, sexual assault, and suicide prevention from its website to comply with new “anti-DEI” policies.

  • A French researcher traveling to the U.S. for a conference was denied entry by CBP after a border agent searched his phone and found comments in which he had criticized President Trump.

  • The White House removed the head of Amtrak from his position, according to Reuters.

  • Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell stated that the central expectation is for inflation to be temporary. Additionally, the Fed has significantly lowered its 2025 growth forecast while revising inflation projections upward.

  • The Trump administration has shut down a food safety committee responsible for preventing bacteria in baby formula and is also threatening to fire employees working to keep deli meat free of Listeria and applesauce from being contaminated with lead.

  • The Federal Reserve has decided to keep interest rates steady at 4.50%, citing concerns over high prices and uncertainty surrounding tariffs impacting the economic outlook.

  • Donald Trump proposed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that the United States assume ownership of Ukraine's power plants to ensure their security amid ongoing conflicts.

  • The Trump administration has suspended approximately $175 million in federal funding to the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) due to the participation of a transgender swimmer in its athletic program.

Hope everyone has an amazing night!
